It offers specialisations in: • chemical engineering • civil engineering • electrical and electronics engineering • mechanical engineering The first year of study is common to all specialisations, providing you with a broad engineering foundation. The technical and professional skills relevant for your chosen specialisation are mostly taught in the second and third years. The final year consists of a design project, higher level units and a research thesis. This offers the integrated learning necessary to develop your research and design skills and to become a professional engineer. All specialisations have been developed in consultation with employers and professional engineers. Innovative teaching methods will give you experience with state-of-the-art engineering techniques. You will also be exposed to industry and business through site visits, guest lectures by practising engineers, and work experience. This means you will graduate with engineering knowledge which is relevant to current practice. The course is available internally on campus as well as through distance learning, full-time or part-time. This gives you considerable flexibility to tailor your studies to your needs. GRADUATE OUTCOMES CDU engineering graduates are highly valued by employers for entry into local, interstate or overseas employment. *International Students on Student Visas are required to study internally.

Bachelor of Engineering Honours

COURSE OUTLINEThe four-year Bachelor of Engineering Honours prepares you for work as a professional engineer. it offers specialisations in:

• chemical engineering

• civil engineering

• electrical and electronics engineering

• mechanical engineering

The first year of study is common to all specialisations, providing you with a broad engineering foundation.
