BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIREMENTS The degree of Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) will be granted to any student who has registered for a bachelor's degree on a "BA/BS Degree Programme Planning Form" which has been fully approved and who has satisfied the following requirements: Discipleship Training School Prerequisite (19-24 credits) - both ___lecture phase (11 week minimum) and ___field assignment (8 week minimum) are required. Cross-Cultural Requirement Core Curriculum Requirements: __ Bible: CHR 211, 213, 225, 227, 221/322/323; __ Communication: CMC 211, 221; CHR 371; CHR/CMC 287; __ Applied Christian Thinking: HMT/SCI 211, 213; HMT 215, 217 Residency Requirement (four courses) from what location: _____________________. Secondary (High) School Graduation or Equivalent Requirement. Language Proficiency in: _____________________. Pass/Fail Courses (no more than 24 credits total allowed, with exception of the entry level SOE and the old SOE). YWAM/U of N Field Assignment/Internship Credits (three courses totaling 24-36 credits, including the DTS field assignment). XXX 391 Directed Studies Courses (no more than 24 credits allowed). General Transfer Credit Policy and Procedure (no more than 72 credits including YWAM Transfer Credit). Thesis: all BS degrees in the College/Faculty of Science and Technology and all BA degrees in the College/Faculty of Humanities and International Studies require a thesis; however, in the other five Colleges/Faculties a thesis is generally not required for a BA/BS candidate unless the student is transferring more than 12 credits. No more than 12 credits are granted for a BA/BS thesis. Satisfactory completion of all required courses for the degree programme, including pre- approved electives. The student must earn at least a “C” grade-point average to successfully complete a U of N bachelor’s degree. Total credits fulfilled: 144 for a BA/BS including the DTS and field assignment/outreach. Satisfactory clearance of financial accounts of U of N schools and seminars. A “U of N Application for Graduation Form” is to be submitted six months before the conclusion of the degree program; otherwise, we cannot guarantee timely completion of the transcript or the diploma.
