I’m looking forward to BaM debriefing. It was, as Wayne said, “an astounding success”. …… although those words wouldn’t have come to my mind when I was playing dodgeball in the dark with some very unpredictable teens! Kudos to Wayne and Sharla for committing to the whole weekend! Wayne, obviously has a knack for being with youth! Great job on the closing circle! – Ellen Polegato, PARTNER (NS Health & Wellness)

First of all let me just say that it was my pleasure to meet so many kind and wonderful people such as yourself. This was my first BAM experience and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for the next one. The students really enjoyed it. I believe the BAM Outdoor Camping Retreat was a success on so many levels - BAM Adult Champion, Todd Samson (Former RCMP Officer), Richmond County

Had a meeting with Eskasoni principal. The group has been extremely active and taking initiative to do things themselves. They have been running Zumba 3 days a week after school. They use videos since they don't have an instructor. They also created a play for the Christmas concert this year. The BaM team took this initiative themselves and it was something none of them had ever done before. They put it all together themselves and they learned a lot and were very pleased with the outcome. We should celebrate this because this is exactly what we were trying to do with this program – Wayne MacKay, NS Mi’Kmaw Coord

Things are taking off and going well. We are really excited about the potential of this program- thanks for all of your help! – Barb MacDonald, Principal Baddeck Academy

“BaM was an outstanding success, our students got more out of that weekend then I could ever put into words. The organization of the weekend was top notch and every event had its individual attributes and inspired the students in different ways to create an overall enthusiasm towards healthy living. I can't wait to see how our students will bring this back to our school and community” - Susan Baird, Adult Champion
