Mission Statement/Goals

• School Hours

– 8:35: students are allowed into building

– 8:45: tardy bell rings

Classroom schedule:

8:45-10:20 – literacy 2:40-2:55- recess

10:20-11:05 – specials 2:55-3:45 – Soc. Stu/Sci

11:05-12:05 – small groups (literacy) 3:45- dismissal (front of bldg.)

12:05-12:35 – lunch/recess

12:35-1:45 - math

1:45-2:40- Social studies/Science

Class Policies

• A days = library Chinese = Tuesday/Thursday @ 1:50-2:35

• B days = PE Counselor = alternating Wednesdays @ 2:00-2:30

• C days = Art

• D days = Music

• Bathrooms

• Water bottles

• Homework: Monday-Thursday night

– Math and/or spelling

– Reading every night (20-30 minutes)

– Plan ahead

Grading

• Volunteers

– Must complete District Volunteer training to help in classroom or go on field trips!

– 8/26: 9 am 8/30: 9 am and 4 pm 9/8: 9 am

DOGS night 9/14

– Help during workstations/small groups, projects to do, RED FOLDERs

– must also have background check done through the police
