Backout Assigner – November 2009 (VBA/Excel) This program was developed as a commission calculation tool. In the sales environment, any commissionable item sold was subject to a chargeback if it did not remain active by the customer for a minimum of 180 days. On the monthly commission statement, these deductions would be itemized. The company this was developed for passed these deductions onto the sales staff. A program was developed to take the list of thousands of chargeback items in each month, and identify the sales person who originally sold it. This needed to be done across a 7 month period (some items were paid and backed out in the same month). Without a program, this process would have taken up to 30 seconds per line item. With the program, it would take 2 hours to go through a couple thousand line items. This was the splash/main screen of this program. It contained a calculator for figuring the date range to export from the point of sale system. This program simply required 2 specific external workbooks to be open, and clicking “Begin” ran the program and marked the external workbooks with discovered sales analysis.

Backout Assigner – November 2009 (VBA/Excel) This program was developed as a commission calculation tool. In the sales environment, any commissionable item

sold was subject to a chargeback if it did not remain active by the customer for a minimum of 180 days. On the

monthly commission statement, these deductions would be itemized. The company this was developed for passed

these deductions onto the sales staff. A program was developed to take the list of thousands of chargeback items

in each month, and identify the sales person who originally sold it. This needed to be done across a 7 month

period (some items were paid and backed out in the same month). Without a program, this process would have

taken up to 30 seconds per line item. With the program, it would take 2 hours to go through a couple thousand

line items.

This was the splash/main screen of this program. It contained a calculator for figuring the date range to export from the point

of sale system. This program simply required 2 specific external workbooks to be open, and clicking “Begin” ran the program

and marked the external workbooks with discovered sales analysis.
