• Assist in the enrollment to ensure the IDP’s affected students education.
• DepEd-ARMM Education Cluster was organized (See Attached) for the members
• Data was promptly gathered as bases of the school year program for implementation (alternative delivery move of learning with special psychosocial intervention (see attached).
• Mapping of the conflict affected areas for education in emergencies conducted by DepEd-ARMM, UNICEF, Save the Children and the Office the Provincial Planning of Maguindanao
• First Education in Emergency training in the Philippines was conducted for ARMM sponsored by UNICEF and Save the Children attendance are directly implementers MPDO of the pilot municipalities (Mamasapano, Datu Saudi, Datu Piang and Datu Odin Sinsuat, District Supervisors, MSDO, DepEd Regional Office, Province of Maguindanao, other affected Region X and Region XII. Representative from the Central Office, Bureau of Elementary and Bureau Secondary together with the Office of Undersecretary Inocentes anchoring the Disaster program, INGO’s and NGO’s are also around.
• Report of accomplishments and request for support and supplementary on instructional material were submitted to concerned.
• The Focal person Dr. Taya K. Aplal worked with the DepEd-National in organizing the learning module for the emergency education (DORP, Drop-out Reduction program for secondary and Learning Exemplar modified in school approach and learning exemplar for Elementary, Standard and competencies for five-year old Filipino children for Pre-School)
• TLS (Temporary Leaning Space) is already on progress for construction in designated evacuation center of conflict affected areas of Maguindanao
• Modular learning approach training by UNICEF is finally scheduled on July 27-31, 2009 for secondary and August 3-7 for an Elementary at Cotabato City participants are Teachers, Administrators and Supervisors as direct implementers.
• Two conflict affected students from Datu Piang will attend the national program in the observance of Disaster Month Celebration on July 10, 2009at DepEd-Central Office to represent the ARMM.
