Baird News Baird associates, relatives and friends donated more than 5,300 hours of service during Baird Gives Back Week 2016, an annual series of collaborative volunteer opportunities. More than 1,500 Baird volunteers from over 60 Baird offices came together to support 116 organizations across the U.S., Europe and Asia. “Our associates have truly embraced Baird Gives Back Week, and their passion for giving back is why the event has really flourished since we started in 2009,” said Chad Giese, Data Integration Analyst and co-chair of the Baird Gives Back Associate Resource Group, the organization that coordinates the event. “It’s a unique privilege to be able to give back to the community alongside your peers. It’s a reflection of what sets Baird apart.” Baird Volunteers in Action Racine For 30 years, Racine County Food Bank (RCFB) has operated an efficient and successful emergency food program. Funding and support of its operation has come from all areas of the community, as well as from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. Because of great community involvement and efficient staff, the food bank supplies the emergency food network in Racine County with more than 90,000 pounds of food each month! Associates in Racine, Wisconsin, teamed up to support the Racine County Food Bank. The food bank had just completed their largest food drive of the year – the Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive. Members of the Racine office sorted and boxed up the donations from the many bins of food collected so they could be distributed to area food pantries throughout Racine County. “Among the volunteer activities associates in the Racine office participate in during the year, Baird Gives Back Week provides a nice framework for all of our staff to focus on one project in the community. Baird associates, relatives and friends donated more than 5,300 hours of service during Baird Gives Back Week 2016, an annual series of collaborative volunteer opportunities.
