I worship the lotus feet of Ganesha, the son of Uma, the destroyer of all sorrows, who is served by the host of gods and

elementals, and who takes the essence of the kapittha-jarnbu fruit (fruit resembling the bilwa fruit).

Suklambaradaram-one who wears a white garmetn; visnum; all pervading; sasivarnam; who has a brilliant complexion;

O, Lord Ganesha of the curved trunk and massive body, the one whose splendor is equal to millions of Suns, please bless me

He who has the mouse as his vahana(vehicle),

Who wears serpents like Dananjaya as ornaments And who is fierce like the elephant in rut.

I always meditate only on that God with single tusk, Who is ever lustrous tusk is very pretty, Who is the son of Lord who

killed the god of death, Who has a form beyond ones imagination, Who is endless, Who tears asunder all obstacles, And who

dwells forever in the heart of Yogis, Like the season of spring.

arogatAM adoShatAM susAhitIM suputratAm

He, who remembers with respect every morning, These five gems of the great Lord Ganapati, And who meditates in his

heart the leader of ganas, Will soon be blessed with a healthy life, Free of all problems, endowed with great peace, Great

sons, longevity and spiritual and physical wealth.

I do vandana (glorification) of Lord Krishna, the resplendent son of Vasudev, who killed the great tormentors like Kamsa

Bad dreams of men, women and kings alike will be destroyed and they will be endowed with unparalleled riches, good

All the pain, devastation caused by fire, planets and stars will be of the past, so spoke VyAsa, emphatically.

Thinking that objects of enjoyment such as a garland of flowers, sandal and women as giving (permanent) happiness you

amuse yourself in them. They are like the Ketaki flowers, causing grief after enjoyment. o mind-bee! you wander in vain in

the worthless desert of mundane existence. Resort again and again to the honey of the pure lotus-feet of (lord) Lakshmi

narasimha.

tavahitamekam vachanam vakShye shruNu sukhakAmo yadisatatam

I shell tell you something beneficial. Listen! If you are desirous of eternal happiness. All things seen in a dream are untrue;

He who lifted the mountain,

Who is the brother of the enemy of the mountain,

Who is the enemy of the Asura clan,

And who sees with the eyes of moon and sun,

once you are seen, the sorrow of the world end,

And is there anything that will remain to happen?

You who took incarnations starting from that of fish,

And well looked after, forever, this entire earth,


oh, God who is the greatest one,

Please protect me, who am afraid of the life of the world.

He who was tied by a rope in your belly,

Who is the storehouse of good qualities,
