Forestry ProductionTimberland accounted for 70.9 percent of the surface land area of Baldwin County. Total forestry production contributed 6.9 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.

Overall Contributions to Baldwin CountyBaldwin County’s agricultural, forestry, and related industries generated 19,915 full- and part-time jobs, representing 22.6 percent of the county’s total workforce (88,070 jobs).

The total impact of agriculture, forestry, and related industries was $1,538.9 million, which was 18.1 percent of the county’s total economic activity ($8.5 billion). The indirect business taxes impact was $81.2 million, 18.7 percent of the county’s total indirect business taxes.
