BRISTOL BALLOON FIESTA RALLY 2017 Location: Carters Field Yanley Lane Long Ashton BS41 9LW Map Ref: 172/5507024 Site Opens: Weds. 9 th August (Noon) Site Closes: Mon. 14 th August (Noon) All types of unit will be accepted on the rally site which is level grazing land, with minimum facilities. The site is within walking distance to a pedestrian entrance of the main Balloon Fiesta Site. A dog walking area will be available. Local shops are nearby with Bristol City Centre 4 miles distant. A ‘Park and Ride’ to the city is situated near the rally site. Good views of the balloon ascents are available from the rally site. Travel Directions: It is recommended that the site is approached from the M5 motorway to avoid travelling through the City Centre. • From Junct. 19 (M5) take A369 towards Bristol. • After 3.5 miles turn right at traffic signals onto B3129. • At next traffic signals, turn left onto B3128. • After descending the hill, turn right into Long Ashton Village • Turn left into Glebe Road, immediately after passing the Toyota Garage (500 yds). • Continue into Yanley Lane. Site entrance will be signed posted using yellow ABDA signs. • DO NOT ENTER YANLEY LANE FROM THE A38 (VERY NARROW) From other directions, leave A370 (Bristol/Weston-S-Mare) at the City boundary onto B3128 (Clevedon) then turn left into Long Ashton Village. Proceed via Glebe Road as described above. Please Note that using M32 involves travelling through the City Centre. 2017 BRISTOL BALLOON FIESTA Venue: Ashton Court Estate – located on the Southern outskirts of the City between A369 and B3128.
