    Bangalore HR Summit 2012 Theme:

Transformation of HRM for Business Excellence On Dec 14-15, 2012, at Le Meridien, Bangalore-52 Sub: Press

Release The 11th Edition of Bangalore HR Summit 2012 is scheduled to begin in the Garden City of India on

Dec.14, 2012. The HR Summit which will be attended by over 250 delegates from several countries will

deliberate on the theme Transformation of Human Resources Management function for Business Excellence.

The HR summit will also for the first time present the Life time achievement award and the annual young HR

Manager of the year awards. This was mentioned by the spokesman of the HR summit Mr. Aaron Watson.

Briefing the press Mr. Aaron Watson said " A few decades ago HR departments were seen as mere

administrators. HR staff saw themselves as lifetime career specialists with little need for knowledge or experience

of what the rest of the business was about. Mr. H.S. Shama Sundar, Member Advisory Board of HR Summit said

HR Summit is a platform that would deliberate on role of Gen-Y, Leadership transformations and its styles and

succession pipeline through various HR interventions like learning and development, HR processes, retention of

talents, value creation and HR as a business partner But with the growing appreciation of the value of a

company's human assets, and a need to ensure that the talent that an organization requires is not just on board

but also properly motivated, the role of HR has more and more come to be seen as strategic.

The traditional style HR that dealt with strikes, bonuses and gripes was rarely suited to this task. So companies

began to look at ways to revamp their HR departments. They were heavily influenced by the ideas of Dave Ulrich,

professor of business at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and author of a 1997

bestseller, Human Resource Champions. HR Transformation fulfills the troubling gulf between the needs of the

business and the ability of HR to respond." Realizing the need of the above theme Institute of HRD is conducting

Bangalore HR Summit 2012 an International Convention for Human Resources Professionals hosted on

December 14 & 15, 2012, based on the Theme: Transformation of HRM for Business Excellence Leading HR
