    Wat Mahathat

    Remarkable Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Wat Mahathat is located in middle of the city and houses a

    meditation centre. It is one of the oldest temples holding noteworthy history dates back before

    Bangkok became the capital of Thailand. Meditation centre is quite famous amongst people all over

    the world.

    Wat Traimit

    Wat Traimit, a popular tourist destination, is an abode of the world’s largest gold statue of Golden

    Buddha. The height of this statue is 10 feet and weighs more than 5 tons. The breath-taking, shining

    figurine of Buddha makes this place a must-visit attraction in Bangkok.

    Temple of Emerald Buddha

    The Temple of Emerald Buddha or the Wat Phra Kaew is the holy Buddhist temple in Thailand. Located

    at Phra Nakhon, the central district of Bangkok, the temple houses the statue of Emerald Buddha

    made of green jadeite. The striking and gleaming structure of the temple leaves every visitor

    stunned. As per the rules visitors need to cover their knees and shoulders and take the shoes off

    before entering the temple.

    Erawan Shrine (Thao Mahaprom Shrine)

    This popular Hindu shrine is a Thai manifestation of the Hindu creation God Brahma in the form of a

    golden statue of Phra Phrom. Full with devotees throughout the day, sometimes it acts as a platform

    for concerts given by traditional Thai dance groups. Located in Pathum Wan district by the GrandHyatt Erawan Hotel, at the in intersection point of Ratchadamri Road.

    The National Museum Bangkok

    Take a glimpse of exquisite collection of an art at the largest in Southern Asia, the National Museum

    located in 4 Na Phra That. The place houses some regal belongings dates back to the Royal Thai

    family. One can spend a few hours browsing multitudes of artefacts and paintings in the alluring of

    museum. There are free guided tours available on Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday.

    Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple)

    Famous as the “marble temple” Wat Benchamabophit is an exemplary specimen of Bangkok’s

    architectural style with its multi-layered rooftops, bird-like adornments at the top of the shrine along

    with the stunning gold carvings. The temple is guarded by the large stone lion on each side of the

    main entrance. Inside the shrine there is a magnificent Sukhothai-style Buddha statue, a copy of the

    original Phra Buddha Chinnarat that resides in Phitsanulok, northern Thailand. When you step inside

    the shrine, there is a Sukhothai-style Buddha figurine, a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat that resides

    in Phitsanulok northern Thailand.

    Royal Barges National Museum

    Royal Barges National Museum is a unique museum in Thailand that exhibit Royal Barges used in

    Royal Barge Processions and state ceremonies. Many barges are in the form of famous mythical

    creatures from the Ramayana epic. The barges are made of optimum quality wood. Gold leaves,

    intricate designs and vivid colours form the decoration of the barges. The most impressive of all is the

    46-meter-long Suphannahong royal barge which is in the shape of a mystical swan. It also features

    on the logo of Tourism Authority of Thailand. Along with three more barges that are equally

    impressive - Ananta Nagaraj with naga -shape figurehead, Narai Song Suban featuring Lord Rama on

    garuda figurehead and Anekchat Puchong.
