Background:
In the existing application, public devices are used which capture biometric data that provide plain biometric
template data to the application, which inturn encrypts the data as per UIDAI specifications before using for
authentication purposes. To ensure security, UIDAI has released common device API specifications called registered device service specifications wherein fingerprint template will be encrypted by device SDK (L0) or
device hardware (LI) as per UIDAI format. End user applications will not do any encryption at their end.
Instructions for migration to RD application (KIOSK):
1. All the Agents using KIOSK application will have to mandatorily upgrade to window 7 or higher operating
systems. RD application will no longer work in lower window operating systems. All agents are advised to
use licensed windows operating system. Using non-licensed/pirated operating systems is not advised.
2. All agents using KIOSK applications will have to mandatorily upgrade internet browsers to IE 11. RD
applications will not work IE 9 or below. Agents, who are not able to upgrade browsers by, will not be able to use Aadhaar services.
3. Internet Explorer settings will have an additional settings to be done. Go to tools-> Internet options-
>Security->Trusted sites->Custom level. Under miscellaneous tab please select option “Enable” for
“Access Data across domains”
4. KIOSK application will do a RD service scan 3 times during Agent login. If RD service is not installed,
agent will be given a warning message and will be allowed to login into the application using non RD
services
5. Incase RD services are not working properly; please restart the services in services.msc.
6. Additionally, test page will be provided to check if application has been installed properly or not.
7. New RD drivers need to be installed in KIOSK machine.
Instruction for migration of Mantra device (KIOSK):
1. MANTRA RD drivers have to be installed in all KIOSK machine. All the device need to be white
listed in UIDAI website to perform RD transaction.

Mantra RD Service Registration and setup Download Procedure:
To register Mantra Device in Mantra Management server refer below link.

To Download Mantra Device RD Service setup refer below link.
https://download.mantratecapp.com/
Open above link in any browser of the system.
Go to download menu and click on DRVICES & DOCUMENTS link.
Download Mantra RD service and MFS100 Driver for WINDOWS.
Setup will be download automatically and save to download location.

Mantra RD Service setup installation Procedure:
1. Ensure you have logged in with the user having administrative rights
2. Ensure Internet is connected before proceeding.
3. Open Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall below RD service setup if installed in system.
Cogent Gemalto RD service.
Morpho RD service.
Cogent Precision RD service.
4. Go to that path where Mantra RD service setup saved.
5. Plug Out Mantra device from system.

6. Right click on MantraRDService.exe and click on RUN as administrator.
Click on Next

7. Right click on MFS100Driver.exe and click on Run as administrator.
Click on Next

8. After successful installation of RD Drivers, go to programs and features in Control Panel and check the
Installed RD service drivers.

9. Open services.msc and check below services are running or not if not running then start it.

10. Connect Mantra device to system.
When RD Service will detect public device then it will convert it into registered device and user will be
notified again with success response by RD Service.
After that you need to unplug and plug your device.
If Mantra device is not listed at Mantra Management Server then user will be notified with below
message so in this case you need to contact with Mantra Servico team at
http://servico.mantratecapp.com or +91-79-49068000.
Once registered MFS100 device will be plugged to the system, RD service will detect it automatically
and validate it on Mantra’s Management Server.
Once validation completed then it will show below popup for user information.

Internet Explorer Setting:
1. Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites, please check
whether the url address https://bob.ngm-fi.com is added or not if not added then add it.

2. After add the url click on Reset all zones to default level. Now click on Trusted sites zone and go to
custom level and Enable below options in custom level.

Click on Yes, apply it and click on OK.
System Date and Time Setting:-
1. Go to Control Panel click on Date and Time Option.

2. Time zone must be Indian Time zone (UTC+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and
Time must be in 12 hrs. Format. If it is not proper in given format then correct it.
3. Click on Internet Time > Change settings > check this box Synchronize with an Internet Time
server > Select time.nist.gov from drop down list and click on Update now and Click OK.

Mantra Device RD Service Test Page:-
1. To test Mantra RD service is working or not in system use below link for Mantra RD service test
page.

2. Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites and add above url in sites.
3. Open above url in Internet Explorer.

4. Click on Discover AVDM to check RD service is working or not.
If Mantra RD service running in system and device is connected to system then it will give
Ready message.
It will give Not Ready message in below condition.
Mantra RD service is not installed in system.
Mantra RD service is not running in system.
Device is not connected.
System date and time is not corrected.
Mantra test page url is not added in Trusted sites.
Internet setting is not proper as per this manual.

5. Click on Device Info to get device information.
6. To capturing fingerprint click on Capture.
