In India, post engineering and medicals, bank jobs are the most sought out field. Over 20 lakh students appear for exams conducted by RBI, SBI and other private banks. Bank jobs often have a wide opening, reason why many aspire for the same. In order to join a bank, various exams are being conducted, followed by rounds of group discussion and personal interviews. The initial exam consists of an aptitude level entry as various candidates from various fields appear for the same. These aptitude questions are multiple choice questions (MCQ). Marks here are allotted only on the basis of selection of the right answer and not the solving process. However, there is a negative marking for wrong answers, so you need to be careful. You need to score the minimum marks for each section to qualify to the next stage. Aptitude and Data Interpretation

This section consists of an overall of 40 questions which is further divided into 5 sections viz.,

1. BODMAS, calculations and approximations which concentrate on its rule, squares cubes and roots, rule of surds and indices, multiplication and division of large numbers, addition and subtraction of numbers and approximations. The trick here is to practice as many questions without using a calculator. You also need to pay attention to the steps you have

used and the one provided to opt for the simpler step which is less time consuming.

2. Data interpretation section consists of tables, pie charts, line graphs and bar graphs. Here it is important for you to understand the data and eliminate approximate number options.

3. Mathematics section involves percentages, compound interests, linear equations and so on. Here, build your basics with school level textbooks.

4. Data sufficiency section doesn’t deal with solving a problem, but instead, to identify if the problem can be solved with the given data or not. The key here is to read and understand the instructions carefully and practice immense.

5. Complete the series section has a sequence of 5-6 numbers and you need to identify a number that continues the series or not. Here, practice is of utmost importance.

Logical Reasoning

this section tests your ability to interpret data and information given in the form of puzzles and brain teasers. This section again consist of an overall of questions which include which include 7 sections under it.

1. Arrangement section deal with reading and interpreting a large amount of data and represent it in the form of an arrangement.

2. Sequential output tracing involves understanding the steps given and rearrange or replace the words or numbers in an ascending/descending or alphabetical order

3. Syllogisms involves various statements followed by a conclusion. You need to identify the relationship between the two for a valid solution.

4. Data sufficiency deal with a theoretical attempt to a DS question.5. Visual reasoning is wherein, 5-6 figures are given and you need to

identify a figure that either continues the series or not.6. Critical reasoning is a combination of logic and English knowledge and

solve accordingly.7. Miscellaneous puzzles include logical puzzles, relationship puzzles,

series, analog etc.

English Language

This section tests your English language skills, but is not a test of vocabulary or grammar. It is a test of language comprehension and your ability to interpret information given in English. This sections consists of 8 sub-sections with an overall of 40 questions. The sub-sections include reading comprehension, jumbled sentences, fill in the blanks, close passages, errors in usage, sentence correction, vocabulary and paragraph completion.

General knowledge and current affairs

this section consists of GK, current affairs and random information. The sub-sections here include, Banking products and terminologies,corporate updates, government schemes, marketing terms, current affairs and trivia.

Computer Awareness

This is the final section where you are expected to have a basic knowledge of computers, their applications and use. The various areas here include, Basics of computer hardware, software and windows, Microsoft office, keyboard shortcuts, internet and terminologies.
