Cinemoms Coloring Contest Created by Marci Miller in 2008, Cinemoms is a movie blog that currently reaches more than 1000 mothers in the Atlanta Metro area. The site puts out a weekly email newsletter in addition to online content at cinemoms.com , offering mothers special discounts, merchandise and mom’s only events. Cinemoms ran a Barbie in the Pink Shoes coloring contest and gave away 4 Kristyn Farraday dolls to winners of the contest. Art for the contest was shown on Cinemom’s facebook page with winners here. Cinemoms currently has 2160 fans who may have seen this promotion. Dolls were delivered to contest winners from Studio Movie Grill on March 20, 2013.

Bring Your Own Barbie Day

Eight participating Studio Movie Grill locations hosted a special Bring Your Own Barbie Day, inviting girls to bring their favorite Barbie Doll with them to view Barbie in the Pink Shoes in the theater. The event was marketed for each participating location via press release, online event guides and email marketing to databases exceeding 100k subscribers. Locations hosting Bring Your Own Barbie Day saw unprecedented presales of tickets for that day, with some theaters seeing at much as 100 additional attendees compared to regular attendance for SMG Toons programming. Theater managers at participating locations distributed 56 Kristyn Faraday dolls to girls who attended to show off their own favorite Barbie doll or apparel. Regular screenings of Barbie in the Pink Shoes ran at Studio Movie Grill for the entire month of March, 2013.

Saturday, March 23, 2013 will be Bring Your Own Barbie Day at participating Studio Movie Grill Locations. Bring your own Barbie toy, t-shirt or accessory with you to watch Barbie in the Pink Shoes and show us for a chance to win an authentic Barbie in the Pink Shoes doll from Mattel.

Mattel has partnered with the SMG Toons program at Studio Movie Grill to offer $2 screenings of Barbie in the Pink Shoes every weekend in March at 11am.

SMG Toons is a continuing monthly program offered at most SMG. The program features $2 showings on the big screen of popular direct-to-dvd titles featuring favorite children’s characters such as Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake and the Pound Puppies.

Participating SMG locations for Bring Your Own Barbie Day include Dallas-Royal, Dallas-SpringValley, Arlington, Lewisville, City Centre and Copperfield in Texas; as well as Wheaton, IL and Scottsdale, AZ.
