Objectives To fight against extreme poverty and illnesses.

To favour education for everybody and gender equality.

To promote and offer tools to foster the values of sport among children.

To favour and encourage actions aimed at the social normalisation of people with disabilities, immigrants and other groups at risk of social exclusion.

To contribute to the development of culture, the defence of civilian values, freedom and democracy.

To promote youth sport and the academic training of the sportspeople forming part of the Barça institution.

To support and assist veteran players that form part of the history of the Club.

Constituted in 1994.

Source of civilian participation through the numerous social, cultural and sporting activities that the club has organised.

Reflect the advanced society in which the club is located and the way that the Foundation is such an ideal vehicle for promoting its values.

UN relationship

• Adhesion to UN Millenium Objective Goals.

Ordinary income

• 0,7% of the Club’s ordinary income is donated to the Foundation to support its programmes and projects.

UNICEF

• Member of Economic and Social Council of the UN.

JES (Sport Solidarity Conferences)

Designed to train educators in the use of sport as a tool for teaching and social integration.

The JES provides teachers and instructors with resources through a theoretical and practical course.

Educational programmesTo promote civic values of sport. Iniciatives such as “Play-it”, the first educational

on-line programme , focus on meeting this goal.

Sportsmanship - Sporting Spirit ProgrammesThe objective is to spread sports activities which are more

demanding in terms of the moral education of young sportspeople and hence increasingly efficient as a mean of positive socialisation.

The first programme was “Let’s play as a team, let’s live together”, a model for the management of civic values and awareness activities in municipal sports clubs.

Social care and Cohesion

For immigrants

“Tots Colors” (“All Colours”): sports tournament designed to combat attitudes and actions which are reticent about or openly opposed to cultural and ethnic diversity.

For children

“Un somni per un regal” (“A dream as a gift”) enables sportspeople from the various FCB sections and club members to give their support to ill or socially marginalized children by donating toys and handing them out in hospitals.

Culture – Words and Arts

Programmes geared towards fostering culture in the widest sense of the term, as it is a fundamental element in quality of life and social cohesion, in people’s happiness and in the quality of coexistence.

Research, Development and Innovation

The Foundation has two research areas:- Heart disease- Muscle and tendon pathologies

In both cases, research projects are being mapped out and developed in close partnership with FC Barcelona’s Medical Services.

The Foundation is also driving the creation of forums, conferences and round tables to tackle medical issues connected with sport.

Partnership FC Barcelona and Unicef

This agreement will last five years and involves a financial contribution of 1.5 million € per year for integral projects selected by the Foundation and UNICEF to benefit vulnerable children.

Agreement FCB-UNHCR/ACNUR

For three years, programmes will be run in refugee camps around the world. The agreement does not imply any fixed financial contribution but rather the commitment of both organizations to obtaining the required resources.

Agreement FCB-UNESCO

We seek to raise awareness of the role of education and sport in the development and welfare of young people.

The five-year agreement implies no fixed financial contribution but rather a commitment by the two organisations to develop activities.
