THE PERFECT SUMMERTIME BEVERAGE:  Barry’s Iced Tea Recipe  Make a tea base by steeping 4‐6 standard bags of your favorite Pukka tea in 2 cups of freshly boiled water for ten minutes. Remove the tea bags, taking care not to squeeze them, as this can add bitterness.   While the brew is still hot, stir in your desired natural sweetener until it thoroughly dissolves. Pour this concentrate into a 2‐quart pitcher, and add cold water until it reaches your desired strength. Tea can cloud if it's refrigerated while still warm, so wait for it to reach room temperature before further chilling.

THE PERFECT LUNCHTIME TREAT FOR THE SUMMER:  Kara’s Healthy Heart Flax Cookie Recipe  ½ cup softened butter ½ cup brown sugar  1/3 cup sugar 1 egg ½ tsp vanilla extract 1 cup flour – or – ¾ cup flour and ¼ cup flax meal ¾ cup quick oats 1/3 cup BEVERI Milled Flax 1/3 cup BEVERI Golden Flax Seeds  (instead of both milled and seeds you can also just use 2/3 cup of one) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon   Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter with sugars, beat in egg and vanilla. In another bowl , mix flour, oats, flax, baking soda and cinnamon. Gradually beat into butter mixture. Will form a dough. Make small balls and put on to ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes.  Makes 24 cookies.
