This is what the first baseball glove looked like. It was made out of leather. Back then baseball gloves did nothave a lot of patting.

People used wooden bats a long time ago. But in 1924 the first medal bat was made by William Shroyer.
Rules of Baseball Bats
Back then the rules for a baseball bat was that the barrel could not be wider than 2.5 inches. And it could not be longer than 42 inches.
