BTC(C&W) Jhansi is Divisional training centre of NCR mechanical

department. Centre covers training to the App. Tech –III of Jhansi & Agra

Division & conduct Refresher courses and special courses to the Open Line

C&W Technicians & Helper, Basic C&W Training to Apprentice Assistant

Loco Pilot. BTC(C&W) Jhansi also facilitates practical training to App. JE &

App. SSE directed by Principal/ STC/ JHS.

Regular Courses: -

• Cater training to direct. Recruited (RRB) App Tech (ITI), App Tech (Non

ITI), Helper Khalasi / Khalasi to Tech- III.

• Refresher courses, special courses to the Open Line C&W Technicians,.

• Sensitization program on disability to the front line Technicians as per the

instructions of Railway Board.

• Pre Promotional Courses for JE to SSE (SC/ST), Technician to JE

(SC/ST), Helper/ Khalasi, Khalasi to Tech-III(SC/ST), Tech-III to Tech-

II and Helper/Khalasi to Tech-III.

• Basic C&W Training to Apprentice Assistant Loco Pilot.

Centre also conducts following special courses -

• Training of H-Type Tight Lock CBC for Drivers, Guards, Station Masters

and Point’s man etc to prevent Train Parting of coaching Stock.

• Training of proper coupling and uncoupling of CBC to prevent Train

Parting in Goods Stock for Drivers, Guards, Station Masters and Point’s

man etc.

• Training of attending Conventional and BMBS Brake Binding and

releasing in Coaching and Goods Stock for Drivers, Guards, Station

Masters and Point’s man etc.

• Training of By Pass coupling for Drivers, Guards, Station Masters and

Point’s man etc.

Hostel Facilities:-

• One Hostel is available for Trainees. Bed Capacity of Hostel is 20.

• One small play ground available in Hostel Premises

Class Rooms:- • Two Class Room with sitting capacity 20 each. Total Capacity = 40.

• Two newly built class rooms are handover to BTC(C&W) in Jan 2012.

Library:- Small library of 1200 books, News Paper and India Today Magazine is provided for

trainees.

Work Shop:- One C&W Workshop for practical training equipped with Wheel Defect Model, CBC

Goods Model, ICF Conventional, ICF BMBS, CASNUB Trolley, Four wheeler Tank Wagon, By Pass

Coupling Model, Indian Style Coach Lavatory for demonstration/ practical purpose to trainees.
