Training Outline
Introduction of Prosteel
Knowing basic AutoCAD command 2D and 3D.
1. AutoCAD Commands (must know command).
• Pan
• Zoom in/zoom out
• Orbit
• Visual styles - render or make your drawing realistic
• 3d views
• Viewport – create additional view on working space.
• Dimensioning – linear, align, arc, ordinate, radius, etc.
• Draw (line, polyline, arc circle, etc.)
• Modify (properties, move, match prop, copy mirror, offset, stretch etc.)
2. Prosteel Commands
• Prosteel View – use in getting view form member or work frame

• Prosteel copy/move/mirror/align- you can copy/move the whole group
or just the part of it.

• Prosteel Dimension – a proper dimension style must be set. This
dimensioning has an advantage to AutoCAD dimension when there is a
shortening on the part to dimension.

• Prosteel Section – a proper dimension style must be set first.

• Prosteel detail center – where you can find/isolate item parts to
assembly parts in creating drawings.
• Prosteel detail style – every item parts and assembly need detail style, in
this procedure, you can assign detail style on it.
Fitting Item Parts – detail style for plates and flat bar.
Member Item Parts – detail style for all rolled shapes.
Beam Assembly - detail style for structural assembly.
Handrail Assembly - detail style for handrail Assembly

• Prosteel Display Class – use to isolate member, each member is
separated into their display classes

separated into area classes

3. Navis Work – Navis model is a compilation of Prosteel model exported
to .nwc file. Using this software we can combine the entire model in one,
for AutoCAD it’s too heavy to do that.
• Basic Navis control – you can see on right side of my Navis, pan, zoom
window and rotate. This is the basic command in working with Navis
model. On Home tab also, there is a select icon and a selection tree on
my right side. On selection tree, you can see every module inserted on
the Navis model. You can do, hide unhide the module as you want.
