About Our Menu

Our cuisine brings together the soul of rustic Italian cooking fused

with urban modern sensibilities. The foundation of the cuisine is

Bateel’s Umbrian collection, an exclusive range of authentic natural

ingredients strategically sourced from top producers in the Italian

countryside. Extra-virgin olive oil renowned for its low acidity and

aromatic flavour. Artisanal pastas made from top-quality hard durum

wheat and spring water. Wholesome grains, beans and legumes

cultivated according to age-old methods.

While honouring the artisanal values so close to the heart of our

Umbrian products, Bateel’s master chefs renew Italian cuisine.

Each recipe is refined for modern tastes, with a focus on healthy

eating and haute culinary sensitivities. For example, instead of

heavy butters and creams, used in traditional cooking, our kitchen

uses lighter ingredients such as labneh and extra-virgin olive oil.

While we offer a selection of delightful meat and seafood dishes,

the menu emphasizes nourishing vegetables and grains made

with natural sauces and condiments.

Bateel pastries and desserts celebrate the classic traditions

of France and Italy, fusing them with the best in Arabian

heritage. And while we scour the world for the highest quality

chocolate and the finest coffee beans, our gourmet dates are

grown right at home in our own organically managed plantations.

The coffee-and-date tradition of hospitality, which we maintain

Bateel’s 100% Arabica Espresso is a blend created predominantly of beans from Santos, Brazil. Its sweet perfumed taste is complemented by the fruity flavours of Arabian dijmah from Ethiopia and the light acidity of Central American Arabica. Each of these beans is slow roasted separately, creating the delicate taste and round aroma of the Bateel blend.

Bateel’s Qahwa is made from the finest Yemeni origin beans, which are prized for their superior quality.

Café Bateel’s selection of tea offers a unique choice of flavours and variety for the most discerning palate. Our muslin tea bags are completely handmade and contain whole tea leaves. The tea bags are free of metal staples and bands to preserve the taste of the tea.

Big Ben Breakfast Tea 18 A blend of Yunnan (China) and Assam (India), mild and invigorating. Round and spicy. Ideal in the morning.

Blue of London 18

Yunnan is one of the best black teas in the world, and with a fresh and delicate bergamot from Calabria, a particularly fine and well balanced Earl Grey.

GREEN TEA

Japanese Sencha Ariake 18 Produced by the province of Kyushu, Sencha Ariake is the mildest of the Sencha teas. Invigorating and flowery, it is very pleasant in the morning.

China Grand Jasmine Chun Feng 18 Nearly all the flowers have been removed and there is a high proportion of tips. A remarkable tea that allows the jasmine bouquet to develop fully.

INFUSIONS

Chamomile Infusion 18 this infusion made of chamomile flower has a soft and flowery fragrance. Very aromatic, its unique perfume and strong flavour are mostly appreciated after meals.
