Dear Families, Education Week – ‘Learning Together’ Welcome to Education Week 2020 – Learning Together. I think it is safe to say, that we have most certainly been learning together. Learning new ways of adapting to an ever changing lifestyle, learning new ways of teaching, as well as learning and most importantly, learning that regardless of what stage of our life there will always be learning to do. I hope you have enjoyed the snapshots that we have posted on our Facebook page each day this week. This Friday at our K-6 Assembly I will also be presenting some special Education Week awards to four students who demonstrate outstanding leadership and role modelling on a daily basis at Bathurst South Public School. *Tessa, pictured left was absent from the ‘certificate recipient’ photograph on the right. Peer Support As mentioned in our last newsletter our Peer Support program, will commence this week. I encourage you to ask your child/ren each Wednesday afternoon how the lesson went and what they focused on during the ses- sion. Handballs! The P&C are selling handballs next week. They have 60 to sell at $3 each. On Monday Morning from 8:45am, 15 balls will be available for Stage 3, Tuesday is Stage 2’s turn, Wednesday Stage 1 and Thursday is Kinder. There are no pre-orders being taken, it is purely a first-in basis. Once stage allocations are exhausted, there will be no restocking. Names will be clearly written on each ball when purchased. Accepting Local Enrolments Now We are at that stage of the year where careful planning for the upcoming school year commences. To aid us in being as organised as possible we ask any families within our school intake area, who are yet to enrol their child for Kindergarten 2021 to do so as soon as possible. School enrolment forms are available from our Front Office or can be mailed or emailed out upon request. Keep On Track Our ‘Keeping On Track’ winner for this week is Hayley Howes. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) News

The three expectations that we have at Bathurst South are being a Safe, Respectful and Positive Learner. This week students will be

participating in lessons focused on the expectations in class discussions.

Students will continue to collect flag stickers for their race track, to complete a lap of Mount Panorama. Students receive a blue award

when they are half way around their track and another when the lap has been completed. Students who complete a lap will be

acknowledged with participation in a no cost On Track Day. This day will be held during the last week of the term.
