Quality:Bauer Architectural Units are manufactured to a high standard of quality and have been used in many projects over the years.

Color:Bauer Architectural Blocks are manufactured from all natural aggregates. Colored Architectural Blocks are made from pure pigments containing no fillers. Pigments used in colored blocks are lightfast, limeproof and weather resistant.

Some color shade variation is normal in split face archi-tectural masonry units, therefore, it is suggested that units be used from several separate pallets as they are placed in the wall. Smooth color units will have more shade differences than split face.

General Information:Bauer Architectural Blocks can be used both for exterior and interior use to create a fire-resistant load bearing or veneer wall. The uses of Bauer Architectural Blocks are limited only by the architect’s imagination. The Bauer Company, Inc. is a progressive company that is willing to consider special colors or shapes and sizes, providing the project is of sufficient size to warrant such an expense.

• KORFIL® inserts are available for split face or fluted block.

Specifications:Architectural units shall be (Fluted, Split-Face, Split Rock, Round Fluted or Fluted Striated) as manufactured by the Bauer Company, Inc., and shall be described in specifi-cations and shown in prints.

Architectural concrete masonry units shall be normal weight manufactured from natural aggregates with an integral water-repellent and conform to current A.S.T.M. specifications C-90 for hollow load bearing units and conform to A.S.T.M. standards and dimensions.

NOTE: Bauer Architectural Units include an integral water-repellent, the manufac-turer recommends using this same water-repellent in the mortar. For a total water-repellent job, a good quality masonry water-repellent is recommended to be applied after the project is finished, and the masonry has been cleaned down.
