THE BUILDING

BAUER Palladio Hotel & Spa is a historical building designed in the 16th century by the worldrenowned Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. The property is a rare jewel in Venice, with its 21 spacious Suites and Junior Suites, 58 elegant guest rooms, a private garden and enchanting lagoon views. Located on the Giudecca island just in front of its world famous sister properties Bauer Hotel and Il Palazzo, Bauer Palladio Hotel & Spa has a warm and welcoming decor.

LA STRUTTURA

BAUER Palladio Hotel & Spa è una splendida struttura, originariamente un convento, progettato nel XVI secolo dal famoso architetto rinascimentale Andrea Palladio. Situato nell’isola della Giudecca, con vista mozzafiato sulla laguna e su Piazza San Marco, di fronte alle strutture della medesima proprietà Bauer Hotel e Il Palazzo offre un contesto accogliente e raffinato. E’ un raro gioiello di architettura dotato di 58 eleganti camere e 21 spaziose Suite e Junior Suite con un incantevole giardino privato.

The spacious rooms, junior suites and suites have been enhanced by masterful trompe d’oeils and precious tapestries in soft colors. The Italian marble bathrooms in each guest room include bathtubs and handle showers, hairdryers and closets. On the dependances, near the main bulding, on facing on the private garden, rooms, junior suites and suites are in contemporary style, high ceilings, light decors, tapestries and fornitures. Most bathrooms include separate bathtubs & walk-in showers. Accommodations offer luxury amenities, in-room electronic safes and king/twin size beds. Some guest rooms have a private patio with chaise lounges.All rooms boast individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TVs, mini bars, international direct-dial telephones and king/twin size beds

LE STANZE

L’hotel Palladio nel corpo centrale propone camere doppie, junior suites e suites stupendamente dipinte con raffinate decorazioni e tappezzerie in colori delicati, conservando la sua identità originale. Nelle dependance attigue, affacciate sul giardino, le camere, junior suites e suites, sono in stile contemporaneo caratterizzate da arredamento in legno chiaro, bamboo, alti soffitti,decorate con colori freschi, leggeri e con tessuti e tappeti luminosi. In ogni camera le sale da bagno in marmo italiano offrono vasche con impugnatura doccia, asciugacapelli e cabina armadio. La maggior parte dispone di vasca e doccia separata, aria condizionata con controllo individuale, servizio cortesia di lusso, asciugacapelli, TV satellitare, minibar, cassaforte elettronica e telefono con linea esterna diretta per chiamate internazionale. Letti gemelli o king size.

THE GARDEN

Just behind the 16th-century building, three connecting gardens have been beautifully restored which, until the early part of the 20th century, were vineyards and orchards laid out according to the designof the time. Historical documentsby De Barbara describe the characteristics of these gardensas surrounded by brick wallsand connected to each other through little doors which lead into long, narrow plots of land runningfrom north to south.This arrangement was createdto provide as much sun as possible and the best microclimate for vegetation that was for the most part Mediterranean, as testified by the olive tree growing in the Palladio’s garden.

IL GIARDINO

Dietro il cinquecentesco complesso delle Zitellealla Giudecca laddove fino agli inizi del Novecento erano presenti vigne e orti, organizzati secondo i modi canonici dell’isola, sono stati risistemati e in parte restaurati tre giardini. La documentazione storica, dal De Barbari in poi, racconta il carattere di questi luoghi, delimitati da recinti murari di mattoni, collegatida piccole porte che immettono in lotti strettie lunghi orientati nordsud,per meglio godere del solee creare il microclima migliore per una vegetazione che in molti casi richiama una condizione di mediterraneità ancora confermata, ad esempio,dal grande olivo visibile oggi nel giardino del Palladio.
