    To foster visitor appreciation of theoutstanding ecological values andrecreational opportunities that com-prise Canaveral National Seashore,primitive campsites are available by

    permit only.

    A PERMIT IS REQUIRED, andTHERE IS A FEE to camp in the park.Campsites are $10/night for up to sixpersons; $20/night for seven or morepersons. YOU MUST OBTAIN APERMIT IN PERSON AT THE VISI-

    TOR CENTER PRIOR TO 4:00 P.M.ON YOUR FIRST CAMPING DAY.CAMPING IS PERMITTED ONLY ATDESIGNATED SITES. Please notethat violations of these regulationsmay result in fines.

    RESERVATIONSARE RECOMMENDED, and can be

    made up to seven (7) days in ad-vance of your intended stay by call-ing 386-428-3384, extension 10.VOICE MAIL MESSAGES ARE NOTVALID RESERVATIONS!

    NO FACILITIES OR UTILITIES EX-IST at any of the campsites within

    BEACH CAMPING

    Two campsites at Apollo Beach areavailable by reservation, November1 through mid-April. Please call 386-

    428-3384, ext. 10 for current status.

    BACKCOUNTRY CAMPING

    ISLAND CAMPING

    Natural island campsites and spoilisland sites provide a variety of ac-

    cess and capacity options to thosevisitors who have their own boat, ca-noe, or kayak. Please see the at-tached map for location and site num-bers/names. RESERVATIONS and apermit ARE REQUIRED for islandcampsites. Canoe rentals are avail-able for sites one through five.

    HAVE FUN - SAFELY

    Plan your trip in advance, with spe-cial attention to travel routes andweather forecasts. Be sure that your

    vessel is fueled and equipped foremergencies, and that all passengersare issued appropriate personal flo-tation devices. Always share your in-tended agenda with a friend or fam-ily member other than those in yourparty. Do not leave valuables in yourvehicle.

    We recommend having a cellular tele-phone at your disposal while camp-ing in the park. Emergencies shouldbe reported by dialing 911.

    Firewood is not available at camp-sites: please provide your own fire-wood or cook stove. Please be awareof special restrictions concerning

    open fires. Ask a Park Ranger aboutcurrent fire danger conditions. Thankyou!

    Canaveral National Seashore. LeaveNo Trace camping ethics are the rule.

    THERE IS NO VEHICLE CAMPINGat the park. Recreational vehicle

    campsites are available at other lo-cations in Brevard and VolusiaCounties.
