    What istheExecutiveCommitteer ecommending to members?A tentative agreement was reached between the BCTF and the BCPSEA on Tuesday, September16, 2014. The Bargaining Team presented the proposed settlement to the BCTF ExecutiveCommittee, who met by conference call and voted to recommend it to members for ratification.A vote in favour will end the current job action.

    When will thevotebeheld and when will weknow ther esults?The vote will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Results will be released that evening.

    If thevoteisFollowing a vote to accept the settlement, members will return to work on Friday, September 19,2014. Schools will reopen for students on Monday, September 22, 2014.

    If the membership rejects the tentative deal, the strike would continue. The Executive Committeewould then consider the next steps in the process.

    2002 language is fully or partially restored the parties will reopen the collective agreement onthis issue, and will bargain from the restored language. The Education Fund provisions willcontinue until there is agreement on implementation and/or changes to the restored language.

    A retheregainsfor Teachersteaching on call?TTOCs will be paid their on-scale rate for each day worked (1/189 of category classification andexperience for each full day worked). There are also improvements to how experience iscalculated.

    As well, a provincial joint committee will discuss issues of seniority call-out, and fair hiringpractices for TTOCs.
