GRADUANDS’ RESPONSE TO THE CALL :Mr. Imtiakum

(Graduands are requested to stand)

Leader: Call for a service is a summon from God to undertake theobligations of a particular task. It is a divine call to a ‘place of service’ toothers in accordance with the divine plan. God told Joshua: “you mustlead my people; I promise you, everywhere you go, I will be with you. Iwill not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and courageous, do not turnaway from my instruction, and you will be successful in everything youdo. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with youwherever you go.”

Graduands: We believe in the greatness of our call and vocation to belight to the people. We are sure that ‘call experience’ of a ministerdetermines one’s identity and authority of the message. We are certainthat ‘we are called’ for God’s work and obliged to follow God’sinstructions.

Leader: We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,so that we can do good things he planned for us long ago. God has calledus to serve. Jesus measured greatness in terms of service, not status. Goddetermines your greatness by how many people you serve, not how manypeople serve you.

Graduands: We believe in our gracious call to be in God’s service. Wepromise to keep the scripture: “Work hard and cheerfully at whateveryou do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than forpeople. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as yourreward, and the Master you are serving is Christ.”

Leader: Peace is the best example of God’s sovereignty. It is a victory outof a strong fight against evil. Peace is a state obtained out of the mostresponsible action. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will becalled the children of God.

Graduands: We believe that God is ‘God of peace.’ We are sure aboutour call to be ‘peace makers.’ We are really convinced of the scripture:“the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but ofliving a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Leader: May your response to the call be acceptable in the sight of God.

Standing on the promises that cannot fail,When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,By the living Word of God I shall prevail,Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I now can seePerfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,Standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call,Resting in my Savior as my all in all,Standing on the promises of God.

God Almighty, we thank you for the lives of these men and women,

called into your service, being sent out today. We commit them

and their ways into your hands, asking for your blessings, wisdom,

and guidance on them and their endeavors, from this time forward,

as they seek to serve you in your Kingdom.

God, our Master, protect them as they go out into a world hostile

towards your vision. Give them faith that perseveres in the midst

of challenges of life, and confidence to boldly speak on behalf of

you in love. Approve their lives that they may be pure lights shining

in the darkness, testaments to your goodness and grace. May they

be vibrant in every way, bearing good fruits, ever growing in the

knowledge of you, joyfully giving thanks to you in all things. Give

them wisdom and knowledge, and fill them with your gifts and
