What are you expecting for Christmas? Are you expecting God to change you by this yearly and glorious celebration, or are you expecting nothing but just another typical cycle of events that usually ends with being the same person as you were a few weeks prior or even a few years prior? The latter is easy to do, the former, not so much. But, if we do not expect much from God, very rarely will he do anything different. Let’s remember that this is Almighty God that we are talking about! I think He is asking us to actually expect something from him, to expect him to change us, to shake us awake from our spiritual stupor, to transform our hearts, and to conform them to him, so that when Christmas comes, we will receive him into our hearts in an even deeper and permanent way.

The second Dinner and a Movie event for Igniters in Confirmation is Sunday, January 21 from 6-8pm at OLV. All teens in Confirmation must attend and bring a parent and sponsor (godparent or padrino) if possible. Igniters should bring the following to the event:

El Retiro de Receivers el Sábado, 27 de enero El segundo retiro de Receivers para todos los niños y jóvenes que están en preparación para la primera comunión será el sábado, 21 de enero de las 9am-12:30pm en NSV.
