Neuse Notes from Jon

February is known as the month to accent LOVE, with Valentine’s Day being on the 14th. I love my job as your DOM and love each of our 45 churches and 100 ministries. In these last days of temporal life it is very important for us to do all that we can to pray for each other intelligently knowing the facts! This can be complicated at times as we each get absorbed in our own schedule. But we need to strive not to be single-value ori-ented but care for each other daily. Time restricts us from being at every Associa-tion-wide function, but prayer does not. Please do all that you can to lift up your brothers and sisters and their ministries.

This past year (2016), I am pleased to announce that for the past 18 years we have ended the fiscal year in the black. Making budget is not our most important goal but it is an asset and al-lows us to keep our credit reference strong in our community. We were able to do this despite five churches not donat-ing to their Association and six churches cutting back on their giving and no churches giving to the October Love Of-fering requested by our Association’s Constitution. Thankfully, not all of our line items were exhausted and many of you donated services “in kind” to us.

May our God continue to show His great love to you and your ministries as you serve Him in 2017.

Dinner: $3/person

A word from our Moderator: Happy New Year! I have the privilege and

honor to serve as NBA Moderator, and like

my predecessors, I want to do the very best

that I can. With this in mind, if you would help

me by letting me know in advance that you

have something to share during our called

meetings I would appreciate it very much as I

would like to have an agenda for each meet-

ing. You can reach me via phone (252) 286-

9618 or e-mail, [email protected]. Thank

you for helping me do a better job within

our Neuse Baptist Association. I hope to see

you at our meeting on February 13th at Snow

Hill First Baptist Church.

participating in an Association-wide

Association Van Use Policy Change

Beginning January 1, 2017 please note that

drivers must not be younger than 25 years of

age in order to operate the NBA vehicles.

This change in policy comes upon the
