General instructions:
Work each project following the corresponding CC and instructions. For the meaning of crochet and knitting symbols, see the keys. Stitches marked over ch are to be worked around the ch-arch.Rounds which are not shown entirely in the CC should be completed in pattern. Arrows in the CC mark points where two or more crocheted motifs are joined or indicate the direction of work. Changes from standard crochet or knitting procedure are explained in the instruction texts. Otherwise, work following the CC, which are labeled with numbers and letters as given in the instructions.
Knitting needles and crochet hooks:
The proper size of knitting needles or crochet hook depends on how tightly or loosely tou knit or crochet. For this reason, you should always first make a 12 x 12 cm (4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches) swatch, using the given yarn and needle or hook size. Compare your swatch with the tension given in the instructions for your model. If your swatch is smaller than the given tension, use larger knitting needles or crochet hook. If your swatch is larger, use smaller needles or hook.
Finishing:
After crocheting, block each piece on a dry surface - preferably on a gridded interfacing, and with rust-proof pins

- and dampen evenly with a laundry sprayer. Do not unpin the piece until it has dried completely. To make sure your work looks like our original, use the Coats yarns as given. Fabrics may shrink during the first washing. For this reason, we recommend washing fabrics before cutting them as given in the instructions. The given measurements apply to washed fabric. Allow for shrinkage when purchasing fabric. The measurement of all fabric pieces include 1 cm (3/8 inch) seam allowances.

If symbols meet in a point at the top, the corresponding sts are to be crocheted off tog. If symbols meet at the bottton, the corresponding sts are to be worked in the same insertion point.
Instructions:
Crochet individual flowers, following the crochet chart. Connect the flowers with ch and pearls as shown. Make one necklace with 6-7 pattern repeats and one necklace with 7-8 pattern repeats. Block the flowers, dampen, and let dry.
Finishing:
The crochet chart shows one pattern repeat connecting 2 flowers with ch and pearls.
Please note: The pearls must be threaded onto the working yarn before beginning to crochet. The holes in the pearls may be too small or slightly blocked. Enlarge or clear the holes with a size 1.25 mm (US 8) crochet hook or an embroidery needle to make the pearls easier to thread.
