ch 5, make into ring with slip stitch

1. ch 3, counts as rst dc in ring. 11 dc into ring, join withsl st. 12 dc.

2. ch 3. fpdc in same stitch. *2dc, (dc, fpdc )* around. join with sl st. 24 dc.

3. ch3, (dc, fpdc) in next st. *dc, 2dc, dc, (dc, fpdc)*around. join with sl st. 36 dc.

4. ch3, dc, (dc, fpdc). *dc in 2 sts, 2dc, dc in 2 sts, (dc,fpdc)* around. join with sl st. 48 dc.

5. ch 3, dc in 2sts, (dc, fpdc). *dc in 7 sts, (dc, fpdc)*around. join with sl st. 54 dc.

6. ch 3, dc in each dc and fpdc in each fpdcaround. join with sl st. 54 dc.

7-10. repeat row 7.

11. ch1, sc in each sc around, working in

back loops only.12. sc in sc around, in back loops only.

13-14. repeat row 12.

15. Begin working with 2 strands. sc in next 26 sc.

16. turn. ch 1, skip rst sc, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc until 5 sts

before end, 2 sc in next st, sc until 2sts before end, sl st in last sc.

Adjust placement and number of 2 dc to getdesired shape of brim.

17. turn. ch 1, skip rst st, sc until2nd to last st, sl st in last st.

Fasten off.

Weave in ends.

Beanie Brim Cap by Hannah Levine

This is a warm hat for the winter. It ts like a beanie with afashionable brim in front. Great for a guy or girl.

Materials

Yarn: Bulky WeightI had an unlabeled skein of yarn, so Im not sure howmuch it was, but I did not use the whole thing. The hatweighs 3 oz.

Hook: J hook

Notes: ch 3 counts as rst double crochet throughoutpattern.
