The Model 3680XP Beast Recycler is our most popular waste reduction unit. It is successful in a multitude of applications, producing salable products, and exceeds other grinders in its class with noted production numbers of over 500 yards (or more) per hour. Biomass and bioenergy industries have found a perfect fit for this unit due to its ability to transform woody materials into specifically sized end-products for pellet plants, paper plants, wood-fired boilers, and re-engineered wood products such as pressed board. down a wide variety of materials. With a Bandit cutter mill you have the option of splitting, cutting, grinding and chipping. You also have the opportunity to mix and match cutting devices to allow for the production of uniform material with varying sizes. The cutter mill turns downward, which helps pull material into the mill, allowing it to be positioned for a decisive splitting action -- similar to an axe, rather than a more violent, intensive, and less effective hammering action found on other grinding platforms. The result is less vibration, better fuel economy, and more structural integrity compared to machines that carry more weight and horsepower.

The Model 3680XP features a 60-tooth setup on its cutter mill, allowing it to process a wide array of materials with ease with its 48" diameter by 63" wide dimensions. Different combinations and styles of cutterbodies and teeth can be configured to control the amount of bite, assist in forwarding material through the screening system, and dial-in the preferred size and consistency of the end product. A chipper knife set-up can also be equipped on the Model 3680XP, allowing it to produce a dimensional screened chip that can be used for fuel and other applications that demand a consistent, high-quality, precisely-sized chip.

The Model 3680XP features a three-speed 20-foot long by 60" wide double slat design track-type infeed conveyor bed chain. It serves material to the cuttermill from 18 to 43 feet per minute, met by a 24" diameter x 60" wide internally-driven floating to feed wheel in an arrangement that makes feeding easy. The cutting action is performed against the infeed chain which eliminates the need for an anvil. There is no gag created between the chain and anvil for material to collect and wedge. Component weight is distributed and supported on a sturdy frame constructed from 1/4" thick steel with 20" deep formed high tensile steel plating. As opposed to bolt-together techniques, cross-section bracing with continuous welds are included, providing structural integrity. In combination with three 25,000 pound air-brake axles, the Model 3680XP provides the necessary physical reinforcement for years of reliable service.

When it comes to discharge, the Model 3680XP offers a multitude of options. The standard folding discharge conveyor is 30' long x 4' wide, has two-speeds at either 280 or 480 feet per minute, includes a magnetic head pulley for retrieving metal fragments or nails out of the flow of ground product, and has an approximate stacking height of 17'-6". For broadcasting chips over a site, or loading end-opening chip vans, opt for an 18' long discharge with a hydraulic thrower. This device is mounted at the end of the conveyor and swings 25 degrees side-to-side (50 degrees total), 34 degrees up, and 12 degrees down to give you directional chip placement control.

Consider the innovative swinging/pivoting discharge system, controlled by radio remote which features both a primary or secondary discharge in place of the standard discharge and/or thrower. The secondary discharge pivots side-to-side 45 degrees with a maximum discharge height of 17'-6". This total folding discharge system extends to 30' in length and includes the magnetic head pulley.

Customize your Model 3680XP with many productivity enhancing options. For sizing material, choose from a variety of square, rounded, baffled, or diamond screens ranging from 5/8" to 7" in diameter and gates up to 5" in diameter. Other add-ons worth considering are a fifth wheel hookup, a larger 29-1/2" diameter x 60" wide top feed wheel, a feed speed drive package to accompany the radio remote, engine pre-cleaner, reversing fan options, work lights, and an auto-walk system. A full palette of standard and custom paint colors give you the freedom to choose the look to fit your brand or company.

Versatility is defined by the Model 3680XP. The unit can be configured specifically for shingle grinding with technology that allows a hot mix asphalt supplement to be produced in one-pass during any season at a rate of 100 tons per hour. For wood materials, an optional self-contained coloring system can help prepare mulch directly for the market. A knife configuration on the cuttermill can essentially convert your Beast into a whole tree chipper for producing valuable products for energy industries.
