CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border and sashing pieces.

10-inch StackerCut 8 squares 25/8” x 25/8” from each of the following assorted print 10” squares: blue main, navy main, blue butterfly, pink butterfly, orange diamonds, pink diamonds, blue floral, navy floral, pink floral, navy dot, orange dot, pink dot

Snow White ShadeCut 7 strips 2 5/8” x WOF. Cut the strips into 96 squares 25/8” x 25/8”.Cut 5 strips 7” x WOF. Cut the strips into 24 squares 7” x 7”. Cut each square once diagonally to create 48 triangles.Cut 3 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 8 rectangles 2½” x 12½” for sashing.Cut 3 strips 2½” x WOF. Cut the strips into 3 rectangles 2½” x 40½” for sashing.Cut 5 strips 2½” x WOF for border 1

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Beautiful Thing BlockThese instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the quilt photo for fabric placement. Sew 2 assorted print 2 5/8” x 2 5/8” squares and 2 snow white shade 2 5/8” x 2 5/8” squares together to create Unit A.

Unit A

Sew a 4 Unit A’s together to create the Block Center.

Block Center

Sew 2 snow white shade triangles to opposite sides of the Block Center. Press. Sew 2 snow white shade triangles to the remaining sides. Square up the block to 12½” to create the Beautiful Thing Block. Repeat to create 12 Beautiful Thing Blocks.

Sashing and BlocksRefer to quilt photo for block placement. Sew a Beautiful Thing Block to a snow white shade 2½ x 12½” rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 3 Beautiful Thing Blocks and 2 sashing rectangles. Make 4 rows.

Quilt Center AssemblySee quilt photo for row and sashing placement. Lay out the 4 rows and the 3 snow white shade 2½” x 40½” sashing rectangles. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 54½”. Top and bottom borders should be 44½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 58½”. Top and bottom borders should be 56½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from A Beautiful Thing Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
