Day 1 (Monday, August 15, 2016)
Depart the U.S.A on your transatlantic flight
Day 2 (Tuesday, August 16, 2016):
Arrive in Bergen, the second largest city in Norway. A bus picks you
up at the airport for flights arriving by 1:00 PM and drives you to your
hotel. If weather is good, go to the top of Fløien, for a spectacular view
of Bergen. Dinner at the hotel Radisson Blu Royal in Bergen.
Day 3 (Wednesday, August 17, 2016):
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet with local guide for a 2.5 hour sightseeing
tour in Bergen. We will walk along the historic Hanseatic Wharf
(UNESCO World Heritage Site).Visit Fløien if not visited the day
before. Afternoon is free to explore beautiful Bergen on your own.
(Dinner and lunch not included).
Day 4 (Thursday, August 18, 2016):
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit home of Edvard Grieg. Mini Concert
before we drive back to Bergen. (Lunch not included.) After lunch
we will have a panel discussion of the diverse church life in Norway,
including the Lutheran mission societies and pietism established by
Hans Nielsen Hauge. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 (Friday, August 19, 2016)
Breakfast and Check-out. We leave Bergen by train to Myrdal and
board the famous Flåm Railway, ranked as one of top 20 train rides
in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views and the thundering sound of
waterfalls as we descend 2800 feet within 13 miles from Myrdal to the
Flåm Valley. Check-in at the hotel Fretheim in Flåm. (Lunch not in-
cluded.) In the afternoon, visit the community center of Aurland by
bus. Here you will find the local historical center, the beautiful Vangen
Church from 1202, built in a gothic style, and Aurland Economusee,
that still makes the traditional Aurland shoes. At the visitor center you
can learn more about the Norwegian handcraft tradtions. If time per-
mits we also can visit the art gallery—Johannes Vinjum, collection of
the poet Sivles and a local knitwear design. On the way back to Flåm,
you will experience Otternes Farmyard, a cluster farm with 27 differ-
ent buildings
dating back to the 1600s. Today the farmyard stands as a center for old
traditional hand craft and local traditional cuisine. Here we eat dinner
before we return to our hotel in Flåm.
Day 6 (Saturday, August 20, 2016):
Breakfast at the hotel. Fjord Cruise from Flåm to Aural to Undredal.
We take a short stop at Undredal with a local guide to tell the story of
Undredal’s Cheesemaking and taste local goat cheese and other local
products. This would take about 45 minutes. We also visit the Scandi-
navia’s smallest Stave Church in Undredal from 1147, with original
decorations and worship vestments from the 14th century. A guide will
tell us about the church and its history. Afterwards we continue on by
boat to Gudvangen. In Gudvangen our bus awaits us and takes us back
to Flåm. Dinner at the Hotel. Hiking around Flåm is an option on Day
4 and Day 5.
Day 7 (Sunday, August 21, 2016): Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Bus trip to Laerdal. This trip takes you
through the world’s longest tunnel to Laerdal. We walk with a guide among
the 160 authentic wooden buildings down in the center, “Old Laerdalsoyri”.
Close to Laerdal is the Borgund Stave Church from 1150. This is the best
preserved Stave church in Norway. A guide will show us around. In 2005
a new visitor center opened and the center displays the history of stave
churches, architecture and religious life back to old ages.(Lunch is not
included.) From Lærdal we drive to Oslo, with relaxing and scenic stops
along the way. Arrive in Oslo in the afternoon and take a walking tour of
Frogner Park to see the life work of Norwegian sculpture Gustav Vigeland
before arriving at the hotel Thon Hotel Vika Atrium for check-in and dinner.
Day 8 (Monday, August 22, 2016):
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing in Oslo by bus (3 hours) to drive
by all the main attractions, such as the Palace, the Storting,
Homenkollen,Town Hall, Fortress of Akershus, and the Opera House.
(Lunch is not included). In the early afternoon there will be a panel
discussion of the church in Norway including information on the new
status of the Church of Norway. Afterward, people are free to walk
the city. For those who want, local Norwegian citizens will be avail-
able to take small groups to walk around central Oslo.
(Dinner at the hotel is not included.)
Day 9 (Tuesday, August 23, 2016):
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Viking Ship Museum and the Folk
Museum on the peninsula of Bygdøy. The rest of the day is free to
enjoy Oslo. The tour concludes with a tour celebration dinner.
Day 10 (Wednesday, August 24, 2016): Check out and transfer to Oslo Airport.

Cancellations received 61 to 49 days before the departure are subject to loss of depo-
sit. Cancellations received 48 days to 15 days before the departure date are subject
to an addidional $ 700 cancellation fee. Cancellations received zero to 15 days befo-
re the departure date are not eligible for any refund.

Conditions & Responsibilities
This tour is under the management of Si-REISER AS, which has made all arrangements for acco-
modations and services in Norway furnished in conjunction with this tour. Si-REISER AS and it’s
agents shall be responsible for supplying the services and accommodations offered to the partici-
pants as set forth in the tour itinerary except such services and accommodations as cannot be
supplied due to delays or other causes beyond the control of Si-REISER AS and its agents. The
participant waives any claim against Si-REISER AS, and its agents, for any damage to or loss of
property or injury to or death of persons due to any act or omission of any persons rendering any
of the services and accommodationson this tour, or due to any event, happening, misfortune, or
occurrence whatsoever. Si-REISER AS, and its agents, will not be held responsible for any delays,
substitution of equipment or any act or omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agents, servants,
and employees, and the partcipant hereby waives any claim arising therefrom. The prices quoted
are based on double occupancy, and if we have less registered participants than intended, we reser-
ve the right to cancel the trip or provide the clients with alternative travel dates. The right is reser-
ved to decline or accept any person as a member of the tour and to require any individual to with-
draw from the tour at any time, if the tour leader deems his/her act of conduct is detrimental to or
imcompatible with the interest, harmony, comfort or well-being of any participant, or result in any
penalty to the operators. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the participant(s). In the
event this tour is cancelled, all deposits and other monies paid by the participant will be promptly
refunded.
Si-REISER has the right to change the itinerary if circumstances occur that makes it impossible to
conduct the original itinerary because of any of the above mentioned reasons. Si-REISER can also
change the transportation, accommodation, bus driver without further notice because of above
mentioned reasons.
Si-REISER can terminate the agreement without further notice and without paying the client/
organizer damages or compensation of any kind within 2 month prior to arrival. Si-REISER’s li-
ability according to a contract duly signed is restricted to what follows from Norwegian laws and
regulations.
Please notice that Si-REISER is not responsible to pay the guest/client/organizer for damages or
compensation of any kind if something happens to the Host (Gloria and David Anderson) so that
they cannot travel to Norway. Notice that cancellation rules will have to be followed.
