Dear Fellow Warrior for Christ,

Thank you for prayerfully considering an investment of your time and resources to be trained for this unique type of ministry. Today the sex industry is a 63 billion dollar worldwide business & we live in a sex-saturated society. It is almost impossible to look anywhere without seeing the effects of it. It is the largest mission field in the world, desperate for laborers and it’s time for the Church to raise up a standard to reach & rescue those affected by it. I am very excited about your desire to do something & want you to know that you are an answer to prayer.

When God birthed this ministry through me, He laid upon my heart, not only a burden to reach & rescue those in it & affected by it, but also to train up the body of Christ to make an impact on this, the largest & fastest growing industry in the world. This training is an accumulation of experience that has been developed from the LORD’s leading, as well as observations, mistakes & lessons learned over the past 6 years.

It is my desire & passion to see an army of end time warriors raised up, properly equipped & united in purpose, to push back the forces of darkness & take back what the enemy has stolen through the sex industry. There are countless souls that have been lured into captivity & there is a need now more than ever to do something about it.

Jesus said that He came to set the captives free & deliver the prisoners. He called us to be His hands & feet. He commissioned us to make disciples & promised us that when we lived committed lives trusting & obeying His Word that we would do even greater things. Key to being these warriors is understanding the power & dominion that Christ has given us through the Holy Spirit in us and who we are in Christ.

This type of ministry is not for the weak of heart & you need to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you are called to it. You also need to be adequately trained and equipped for the task. It is no coincidence that you are reading this & I believe that you have been chosen & appointed by God Almighty for such a time as this.

Please understand that this training is not a black & white command on how to do this type of ministry. It’s our recommendations & suggestions. We encourage you to seek the LORD as to what your ministry will look like & the functions of it. We are not all called to be the same organ of the body, but we are to make up different body parts that fit together as whole.

Trainer: Julie Shematz Founder of Beauty From Ashes™ Ministries, Julie is a sex industry & trafficking over comer who has trained and led over 50 strip club outreaches since 2005 and is considered a sex industry missionary.

Originally from a large farm in Indiana, Julie Shematz attended Purdue University on a track scholarship and studied as a triple major in Art Education K-12, Visual Communication Design and Fine Arts with a minor in Learning Disabilities. She graduated from Herron School of Art and has her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Indiana University. The vision for Beauty From Ashes Ministries, a revolutionary organization making an impact on the world’s largest mission field, the sex industry, has been developed through Julie’s experiences and dedication to offering others the help she never received.

For seven years, while in college and after, she worked as an exotic entertainer across the nation. When she rededicated her life to Christ, He not only delivered her from the bondage of sin, He gave her a passion to help others get out. She is an over-comer of growing up fatherless, divorce, domestic violence, suicide attempts, drugs and offense from within the Church. Since leaving the industry, Julie worked for two years as the bookkeeper for Sanibel Community Church and is a licensed minister. A member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, studying to acquire a certificate of counseling in biblical counseling, she is also preparing to enter graduate school to acquire a Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, Julie a successful fine artist and teacher. She has been married to Steve for six years and resides in Fort Myers, FL with their dachshund, Jehu. Though they have no biological children, they have numerous spiritual.

They are committed to inspiring broken people to fulfill their destiny and experience the true freedom only found in Christ. She’s not only been a keynote speaker in Sexual Wholeness Seminars, shared her testimony and trained churches across the nation on XXX Ministry, but has been a regular guest on the TV Show, God has the Answer with Bishop Anastasi and has appeared on Rod Parsley’s Breakthrough, the Healing Today Show, Home Keepers, Your Turn Now, the Dr. Keith Ablow Show, Live Prayer and was identified as the ‘Ex Stripper - Christian Outreach Leader’ by the sponsors of the 2008 world’s largest porn expo.

Home Church/Organization Expenses:$20 per manual Travel, lodging & food for Julie and another person* BFA will make flight arrangements and receipts will be provided for reimbursement from host. Reimbursement is expected within 10 days of turning in receipts to host or 1st day of training whichever is sooner. If training is within driving distance, then receipts for gas and/or car rental will be turned in promptly and reimbursement is expected within 10 days. $1000 Honorarium to be paid to Beauty From Ashes™ Ministries, Inc. $500 down payment to be paid in order to book event. Remaining balance to be paid at completion of training. Gift items for outreach; Bibles, CD’s, DVD’s, beauty supplies, perfumes, jewelry, breath mints, candies, etc. BFA will assist with these items where possible and will provide vendor information regarding acquiring these as well. We at BFA strongly believe that God’s Word will not return void and prefer to give it to the recipients in written, audio and video formats. We soften up the message with ‘fluff’ gift items we include with these such as beauty supplies, perfumes, jewelry, toiletries, etc. Gifts are typically assembled into bags &/or baskets that are included with these items. They do not have to be identical and we recommend that they be different, with the common items being the Word of God. We also recommend that information for the local church/ministry to be included for follow





up. Schedules of service times, etc. are also good items to include. We will provide the BFA tri-fold color outreach brochure with Julie’s testimony and the plan of salvation and our toll free help line. The number of club(s) and workers determines the number of gifts. For a typical training session, we assemble 50-100 gifts. The local host can call around to the closest strip clubs to find out how many girls are working on a typical night, keeping in mind they normally exaggerate the numbers. Usually 50 – 100 gifts will cover 2- 4 clubs depending on the size of the club. Gift items should also be made for the men employees.

NOTE: We are flexible and willing to adjust training content, size, schedule, costs, etc. to accommodate trainee’s needs and available resources, as we are able.

*Typically, if possible, Steve travels with Julie. Because she is married, in order to stay above reproach and due to the nature of the ministry, she does not travel alone and will have another female travel with her if Steve cannot.
