IMPORTANT NOTE

1. The applicant must take due care while filling up the form (online). The information provided by the applicant

in his/her form shall not be changed or altered in any case and the University will not entertain such requests

under any circumstance. The University shall not be liable for any mistake made by the applicant.

2. In case if the number of registered candidates at any of the examination centres is less than 100 (One Hundred),

then in such case the registered candidates will be allotted the nearest centre.

3. There is no provision of revaluation/scrutiny.

4. In case of any discrepancy in the Hindi version, the English version of the brochure will be treated as correct

version.

5. Only such RTI applications shall be entertained which are received within 60 days from the declaration of final

result.

6. Each candidate will also have to mention his / her Sub-Category alongwith his / her overall category i.e. UR,

EWS, SC, ST and OBC.

7. To give the benefit to students who have passed the elegibility examination in the current year 2020-21 a

deduction of 5% marks would be made for every gap year from the obtained marks. The maximum deduction

would be 15%.

8. Every candidate will have to declare any disciplinary action/police action against him.

9. The Registration Fees for Unreserved, EWS and OBC Category is Rs. 1600/- and SC/ST/PH is Rs. 800/-.

10. Every candidate can view his/her Answer Sheet within one month of declaration of Results by paying a token

amount Rs. 100/- at Pravesh Bhawan.

11. The entrance test will be conducted in various centres of Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi,

Bareilly, Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and Patna, Bhopal, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Thiruvanthpuram...

ORDINANCES ON ADMISSION TO THE BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (B.Ed.) COURSE

In these ordinances, unless the context otherwise requires

i. ‘Admission’ means admission to the B.Ed. course.

ii. ‘Admission Test’ means the test held in accordance with the provisions of these ordinances and

regulations made there under towards the assessment of the eligibility and relative merit of

candidates.

iii. ‘Candidates’ means a person who fulfills the requirements laid down in these ordinances and the

regulations made there under for admission to B.Ed. course and has applied for such admission in

the manner specified there in.

iv. ‘Computed Marks’ means the marks assigned to the candidate, in accordance with the provision of

these ordinances and the regulations made there under, on the basis of his score in the B.Ed.

Admission Test-2021 has modified by the addition of weightages applicable for determining his/her

position in the order of merit for admission to the B.Ed. course.

v. ‘Qualifying examination’ means the graduate and Bridge Course Examination. The candidates is

required, by the provisions of these ordinances and regulations made there under, to have passed in

order to be eligible to apply for appearing in the admission test and for admission.

vi. ‘Qualifying marks’ means, in respect of candidates require to appear in admission test-2021, the

minimum marks as specified by the National Council for Teacher Education.

1. Admission rules and Provisions for B. Ed. Course:

Admission for B. Ed. Course shall be held for affiliated colleges of University of Allahabad i.e.

(1) K. P. Training College (Government Aided) Co-ed Institution and

(2) S. S. Khanna Girls Degree College (Under self finance scheme) for girls only. B. Ed. Course will be

of Two Years (4- Semester) which can be completed within a maximum period of 03 years.

1.1 Candidates with at least 50 % marks either in Bachelors Degree and / or Masters Degree in

Science/ Social Science/ Humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in

Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are

eligible for admission to the programme.

1.2 Relaxation in qualifying marks and reservations for S. C. / S. T. /O.B.C. /P.W.D. and other classes

shall be as per Central Government rules.

1.3 Only those candidates can apply for B. Ed. Admission, who has passed the qualifying

U.G./P.G. examination from the University of Allahabad or any other University recognized by

UGC.

1.4 Admission to Teacher Education Institutions affiliated to University of Allahabad shall be done on

the seats approved by N. R. C. of N. C. T. E. Any admission over and above this limit shall be

invalid.

1.5 Admission to Arts, Science and Commerce streams shall be done on the seats decided on the

basis of number of teachers available in different school subjects in a particular institution as per

the NCTE regulation (2014). Due to non availability of Commerce teacher in K.P. Training College

B. Com. Boys candidates can not apply in B.Ed. Admission Test.

1.6 Admission Test and admission shall be governed by University of Allahabad Act- 2005. If new

ordinances for B. Ed. are approved they will replace the existing Ordinances.

1.7 If seats are lying vacant under S.T. category due to non availability of candidates, such seats shall

be adjusted under S.C. Category.

1.8 If seats are lying vacant under S.C. category due to non availability of candidates, such seats shall

not be adjusted under any Category.

1.9 If any candidate of reserved category is eligible for admission on the basis of merit order under

unreserved category he/she will be adjusted under Unreserved Category.

1.10 Only those candidates shall be entitled for admission under reserved category who have marked

the reserved category in admission form and produced valid document in this regard at the time

of admission.

1.11 No correction in the entries shall be permitted after submission of the registration form.

2. Admission Rules and Provisions:

2.1 Admission to B.Ed. course is governed by the directives of NCTE and ordinances related to

University of Allahabad Act- 2005. In case of any contradictions in bulletin above ordinances will

prevail. Any direction by NCTE or Central Government shall be mandatory.

2.2 Maximum seats for admission in any institution is decided on the basis of availability of teachers.

Maximum number of seats is approved by NRC of NCTE.

For K.P. Training College (Co-ed institution) maximum intake is 62. (For Arts and Science Streams

for Boys and Girls both). For S. S. Khanna Girls' Degree College (For Female Candidates only)

maximum intake is 125. (For Arts, Science and Commerce Streams)

2.3 Admission to Science and Commerce Graduates shall be done subject to availability of teachers

in concerned streams.

2.4 Separate merit list shall be prepared for Arts, Science and Commerce streams for reserved and

unreserved category on the basis of scores obtained in admission test. Only female candidates

can opt for both the colleges, therefore merit list for female candidates shall be prepared for

both the colleges separately.

2.5 Such candidates will not be eligible for admission if he/she has been debarred/ expelled from

the University for two or more years.

2.6 If there is any discrepancy in calculation of computed scores, the same can be corrected and

consequently merit position can be revised. If by such revision the name of any candidate gets

deleted from merit order his admission can be cancelled.

2.7 (a) No student of the University (Including any Institute thereof) is permitted to be admitted

or enroll simultaneously in more than one degree granting course of study (Including

research) in university or to be admitted / enroll in any degree granting course of study in

any institution (including an Associated or Constituent college of university) during the

period of his admission/enrolment in a degree granting course in the University.

(b) The admission /enrollment of a student referred to in clause(a) in the course of study

concerned in the university shall automatically stand cancelled with effect from the date

of his admission /enrollment in any other degree granting course of study in any other

institution (including an Associated or Constituent college of the University).

(c) In case a student referred to in clause (a) secures admission/ enrollment in a new degree

granting course of study in the university (including an institute thereof) during the period

of his admission/ enrollment shall automatically stand cancelled with effect from the date

of his later admission/enrollment.

(d) A student whose admission/enrollment in a postgraduate degree granting course of study(

including law) automatically stand cancelled under clause (C), but who at the time of such

cancellation had earned eligibility to appear at any part of the examination of the said

course of study as an ex-student may, upon passing to final examination of the new course

of study refer to in clause (c) , or upon the termination of his admission/enrollment

therein, apply to the examinations committee for permission to appear in the said part of

the examination as ex-student, but the examination committee shall not grant such

permission except if the record establishes that he had, at the time of said cancellation,

earned the said eligibility and not more than four consecutive academic session have

elapsed since the academic session in which he was admitted/enrolled in the said part as a

regular student.

(e) No student of the university (including an institute thereof) shall appear as a regular

student and/or an ex-student in the same academic session in any part of the examination

of more than one degree granting course of study.

(f) A person who has been on the rolls of the university (including the Associated and

Constituent colleges and the institutes thereof) for a period of eight academic session or

more (excluding the actual but not more than the permissible maximum period of

enrollment as research scholar) shall not be eligible for admission to any course of study.

(g) No student of the university, other than one sponsored or permitted by his employer to

attend (and fulfill the attendance requirement of) the course of study concerned, is

permitted to be engaged in whole-time employment or whole-time self employment.

3. Format of Admission Test:

3.1 B. Ed. Admission Test shall have One Question paper for Two hours duration. This question

paper shall have two sections. Section One will have 20 items of Hindi Language Comprehension,

20 items of English Language comprehension, 20 items on General Knowledge and Current

Affairs, 20 Items on Mental Ability and 20 Items on Teaching Aptitude. These 100 Items shall be

compulsory. Section Two will have 50 Items on Subject content Knowledge. Every candidate

shall have to answer all the 50 items from any of the Arts, Science or Commerce Streams. Levels

of items will be of three year degree course of B. A. / B. Sc. / B. Com. of University of Allahabad.

Items of Arts stream will be from History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Hindi

Literature, English literature and Sanskrit Literature subject. Items of Science stream will be from

Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Zoology and Botany subjects. Candidates shall have to answer 150

items in all and each item shall carry 02 marks. Items of General Knowledge shall be from Indian

Social Life, History, Economic Development, Five Year Plans, Education Policy, Literature,

Constitution, Sports, Environment, Health, Geography etc. Items of Mental Ability will include

Items from Logical Ability, Relational Thinking, Symbol Transformation, Abstract Thinking and

Classification Ability, inductive deductive thinking. Total Questions – 150, Total Marks – 300

Test Centre and Mode of Examination

Admission Test shall be held through On-line Mode at the centre allotted by the university on

the Admit Card. The Candidates shall have to make their own arrangements for travel and stay

for appearing in the written and orals and shall not be entitiled to any TA/DA. The test will be

conducted in Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Patna, Bhopal, New

Delhi, Kolkata, Bangluru and Thiruvanthpuram.

Minimum qualifying marks and deduction for gap years :

(i) All students who have passed the qualifying exam in the same year in which they appear in

the Admission Test no marks will be deducted from their grand total, but those who

appear after the gap of one year 5% marks will be deducted from the grand total similarly

two year gap will invite 10% deduction and three years gap will invite in 15% deduction a

gap of more than three years will not invite more than 15% deduction.

3.2 Candidates are not allowed to talk to other examinees in examination hall, use or attempt to use

unfair means or creating obstacles in conduct of examination shall be liable of penalty.

3.3 Any scrutiny or revaluation of answer sheets shall not be permitted on any ground.

3.4 No weightage for NCC/NSS shall be given for Admission in B.Ed. course. Sports quota shall not

be available under this course.

4. RESERVATION AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATION / QUOTA:

A. In accordance with provision of Section 9 of the University of Allahabad Act, 2005 (Act No. 26 of 2005) seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates in all subjects / course for which the Admission Test has been held, as given here under:

(i) 15% of the total seats in each subject / course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to

Scheduled Caste (SC) category;

(ii) 7.5% of the total seats in each subject / course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category; and

(iii) 27% of the total seats in each subject / course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Other Backward Caste (OBC) category.

(iv) In case the seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates remain vacant on account of non-availability of candidates the same shall be filled by the candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.

(v) Subject to any order from NCTE, 10% of the total seats shall be reserved for candidate belonging to EWS category. Reservation to EWS candidates shall be given by the University as per Govt. of India guidelines, the regulation/norms issued by the UGC and subject to any decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India or Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, if any.

Note: These rules are indicative and UGC Regulation on Reservation and directives of Ministry of Education as on the date of declaration of Results shall be followed.

B. Kashmiri Migrants:

Weightage as per Government of India guidelines shall be given to Kashmiri Migrants. In order to avail this weightage, the candidates shall have to present a certificate to this effect from an officer of the Ministry of Education not below the rank of Joint Secretary or equivalent.

C. Foreign Nationals/NRI:

Foreign Nationals shall be required to apply through International Students Advisor in accordance with the procedure laid down by the University of Allahabad. The candidate in this case shall not be required to appear in the Admission Test / Entrance Test, but shall be considered for admission on the recommendation of a committee constituted for the purpose, which shall examine the academic credentials and certificates of the candidate before making any recommendation.

D. Person with Disability (Divyang):

(i) As per section 32(1) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, all Government institutions of higher education and other higher education institutions receiving aid from the Government shall reserve not less than five( 05) per cent seats for person with benchmark disabilities. Therefore 5% of total seats for this course will be available for person with disability who can pursue this course without any difficulty.

(ii) A candidate who has a certified disability of not less than 40 % in any limb or in orthopaedic structure which, in the opinion of the Medical Board (constituted by the University of Allahabad), amounts to an overall physical handicap of not more than 70% or is a certified Visually impaired or a Hearing impaired, may be admitted to the concerned course / subject, irrespective of his position in the order of merit of the total aggregate score, on the recommendation of the Medical Board.

(iii) Seats under this quota shall be filled in order of preference given below. One percent each shall be reserved for person with benchmark disability under clause (a), (b) and (c), and one percent with benchmark disability under clauses (d) and (e) namely.

a. Blindness and low vision. b. Deaf and hard of hearing.

c. Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.

d. Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness. e. Multiple disabilities from amongst person from clauses (a) to (d).

(iv) The privilege shall not be given except claimed by the candidate at the time of application. At the time of admission the candidate shall be required to produce a certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer of the appropriate District or by the Viklang Kendra, Allahabad, which testifies to his disability and bears an attested photograph indicating his / her disability clearly.

(v) All candidates entitled to be admitted under the above quota to a course shall be adjusted against their respective social category.

E. Teacher/Employee Ward Quota:

After the completion of admission on the sanctioned seats in each course of study, the wife, sons and daughters of regularly appointed serving and retired teachers / employee of the University, the University Institutes, the constituents Colleges and constituents Institutes, who produce relevant certificate duly signed by the Registrar in case of University, the Director in case of University Institutes, the Principal in the case of constituent Colleges and the Director in case of constituent Institutes shall be admitted, on the basis of their relative scores against 5% supernumerary seats (with a minimum of one seat) in each course of study, only in the unit/sub-unit in which such Teachers/Employees are serving or where from they have superannuated.

Provided that if in case seats remain vacant in a course in the unit/subunit, these will be filled by the wards of the employees of other units/subunits and words of contractual and daily wage employees of the University, University Institutes, the Centers thereof and the independent Centers.

Note-Teacher/Employee Ward benefit will be granted only when the candidate has made such a claim in the Application Form and presents the required documents and certificates at the time of admission. The order of merit for admission shall be determined on the basis of computed marks of the candidate.

No weightage shall be given for NCC/NSS. No seats are available under sports quota.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Instruction for Filling in the Online Application Form

The candidate has to fill and submit the Form ON-LINE, in accordance with the instruction

given in the said Website and also summarised in this Section.

Note : The Form shall not be accessible at the Website www.aupravesh2021.com or admission 2021 Link

of www.allduniv.ac.in after the last date of assessibility given in the Schedule. Before proceeding to

fill and submit the On-line Application/Registration Form for B.Ed. Admission Test 2021, the

candidate is strongly advised to carry out the following tasks for his/her own convenience :

Take a Print-out of this Brochure (Information and Guidelines) and read it carefully.

Read thoroughly the Instructions for the filling and submission of the on-line Form.

Review and ensure the correctness of the details of his/her academic record at Graduation, for

purpose of making required entries in the On-line Form.

The applicants are required to have a scanned copy of their coloured photograph (3.5 cm. x 4.5 cm) and their

signature. These scanned copies of coloured photo (3.5cm. x 4.5 cm) in JPEG Format (*.JPG) 80 KB and

signature in JPEG (*.JPG) 80 KB Format are required to be uploaded during the online form submission. The

file size of photograph (80 KB) and signature (80KB) in any case shall not exceed. All aspirants filling the

Online Form are advised to read the instructions to fill up the Online Form, which has all the pre-requisite

and the guidelines to this regard.

If the candidate does not already have an e-mail address (e-mail ID), he/she should create for himself/herself

a valid e-mail ID, in order that the B.Ed. Admission Test 2021 Committee may sent him/her significant

instructions or information (as per need) by e-mail.

It should be noted that the Test Fees shall not be refunded or carried over in case the application of the

candidate is rejected, or his/her candidature is rendered infructuous or cancelled at any stage, or he/she not

appear wholly or partially for B.Ed. Admission Test 2021.

Note : There is no provision for the withdrawal by a candidate for B.Ed. Admission Test 2021 once he/she

has submitted the Form or, pursuant to the same, remitted the Test Fees.

The candidate is strongly advised to check (and double-check) that all the required entries have been fully

and correctly made by him/her on the On-line Application/Registration Form, and in particular to ensure the

following :

His/Her scanned Photograph along with this/her signature has been properly submitted while

submitting the Online Registration Form.

The information entered in different columns is factually correct and complete (i.e. relevant

information has not been concealed or misrepresented).

After completing and checking its entries the candidate should submit the On-Line Form by clicking the

SUBMIT Button at the bottom for the online form. In the following circumstances, the Website shall refere

to accept the Form and shall give a message indication the mistake (or mistakes) in the Form requiring

correction. Such messages may indicate the following circumstances:

The candidate has not filled one or more essential mandatory fields (i.e. has not made one or more

compulsory entries which are marked by * in the online form).

The candidate has made an irrelevant entry in any field.

The candidate shall have to correct all the mistakes indicated in the message, and then submit the

On-line Form once again by clicking on the SUBMIT Button. The Website may again refuse to accept

the Form in case mistakes remain. In such a situation, the candidate shall continue to have to make

the required corrections and keep on submitting the Form, by clicking again on the SUBMIT Button

till no further mistakes are pointed out by the Website.

After the form is submitted successfully, the Website will give the following message :

APPLICATION SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED

And will display Application ID assigned to the candidate for accessing the Website in respect of his/her

candidature. An e-mail will also be sent to the candidate. The candidate is strongly advised to securely

remember / store the E-mail & Application ID for future use and reference. The candidate may feed his/her

E-mail and Application ID to the Website to view and take a Printout of the Form, and check the status of his

Note : It is clarified that the successful submission of the candidate’s Form does not indicate that his/her

candidature for B.Ed. Admission Test 2021 has been approved. In fact, the form is subject to further

scrutiny and the candidate shall not be entitled to appear at B.Ed. Admission Test 2021 till his/her

candidature has been approved and his ADMIT CARD has been released On-line at the Website.

Immediately after the successful submission of the Form for final processing, the candidate should do the

following:

Get the hard copy (Print-out) of the Form from the Website for your own record. The hard copy of

the Form received within the prescribed date shall be scrutinized in the following respects :

Upon the REGISTRATION of the candidate, a message to this effect shall be displayed with his/her On-line

Application Form on the Website (which may be viewed by entering the application USER).

Once the candidate has been registered, he/she should view and take a hard copy (Print-out) of his/her

ADMIT CARD. The ADMIT CARD shall indicate the Roll Number, and the Test Centre details of the candidate.
