Sustainable Developments Goals are a set of 17 ambitious goals with a total of 169 specific targets to be achieved by 2030, set up by United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Baseline responsibilities of companies

Regardless of size, sector and location, companies need to comply with all relevant legislation.

Map value chain to identify impact areas

Map SDGs against entire value chain as the starting point for assessingimpact and defining priorities.

Select indicators and collect data

Identify one or more indicators for each area of potential high impact and use existing business systems and processes for data collection.

Define priorities

Identify priorities across the SDGs.

Define scope of goals and select KPIs

Define scope based on priorities and choose commonly used indicators as the KPIswherever possible.

Define baseline and select goal type

Define baseline for each goal and choose between absolute or relative goals.

Consult with all stakeholders for guidance.
