• Eagle Scout Project – installation of park benches and 3 trees near walking trail. Project paid for by Eagle Scout.

for by Eagle Scout • Officially opened the park • Approved for a Federal/State grant to continue the existing walking
trail around the perimeter of the park trail, install needed drainage & plant native grasses in the center of the area. This is a 50/50 grant, the park’s portion of the funding ($57,500) will come from remaining park millage funds and fund balance. This project will be started in the spring of 2013 when funding is received.

• Placing signage around the perimeter of the park to define boundary lines of park
Carr Park
• Purchase of new swings for playground

• Purchase of 6 new park benches – monies for 4 benches will be donated
• Repainting of elephant mascot at park
• Repair of damages to gazebo – new spindles
White Park
• Purchase of new swings for playground
• Checking costs for repair/replacement of tennis court surfaces
Samaria Park
• Purchase of new swings for playground
• Repainting dinosaur mascot
• Installing electricity in shelter

• Purchase of security cameras-pending approval of grant

• Creating an Adopt-A-Park program – in conjunction with Bedford Schools and other service organizations, to encourage Bedford’s children and their parents to help keep our parks clean by committing to scheduled cleanups of our parks.
