Traditional Tales
The children will read, tell and compare a range of
traditional tales, identifying typical features. They will
look at particular story characters and make
predictions about how they will behave in differentsituations. The children will select their own
character and write a simple profile. Eventually, this
will build up to the children planning and writing their
own traditional tale.
After creating our own traditional tale we will then act
it out and film it for TV programme Portal.
Nursery RhymesWe will look at a range of nursery rhymes, based on
traditional tales, retell them and write our own.

Calculations
The chn will help out in the finance department with
missing number calculations. They will choose theappropriate operation to work out the missing
number.
Number bonds and times tables
The chn will continue to develop knowledge on times
tables and number bonds. They will use this
knowledge to help solve multiplication and division
problems.

We will use the knowledge of traditional tales to
create a moving picture of our favourite tale. Chn wil
use sliders to retell the tale and create a picture to go
with it using different materials and media.
Cooking
Chn will make pancakes and decorate them.
Computing
Chn will use ipads and imove to film and createprogrammes for Portal.
French
The chn will learn about the story of the 3 little pigs inFrench.
RE
We will learn about the religion of Islam and what it
means to be a Muslim.

We will explore music through the exciting world of
Charanga, which uses songs, games and quizzes to
help us learn lots of different styles of music and a
wide range of songs and tunes.

We will look at a range of circle time activities andtopics taught through puppets and games.

Games
We will increase skills using balls and other
equipment and play team games.
Gymnastics
Develop balance, agility and coordination through arange of gymnastic activities.
