Since 1999, Psalm 100 has been making music for the glory of the Lord. We sing because we love to perform and because we find joy in it. But more importantly, we sing because the Lord has graciously
given us talents so that we may further His Kingdom. Gray Hurley is a member of this group.

Pastor’s PerspectiveI am in a season of experiencing many things for the last time. It is bitter-
sweet. Some things will be easy to let go. Others not so much. I just find myself reflecting on so many things: my life, my calling, this church, my future. I’m sure it’s normal. But this is all “new” for me. This past Sunday evening was my last meeting with the deacons. This body has been so essential and so helpful in my years here helping me wrap my arms around this congregation. I was able to share some final thoughts with them and experience their love and affirmation as they gathered around me for a time of prayer as our meeting closed.
I shared this “last” experience with Todd Coates, our Director of Worship Tech-nology, who is also retiring at the end of this month after three short but highly productive years with us. His farewell remarks were filled with gratitude for this church and his experience here. But it was some of the statistics he shared that grabbed my attention. Our worship services are being viewed on a weekly basis in 22 countries. In one recent 30-day period, we had 101 views from India! Over the last six months, we have had nearly 48,000 views on Sunday. An average of 1850 views per Sunday. Average watch time was 36 minutes. Even if only one person is watching per view (highly unlikely), Snyder is reaching four to five times the num-ber of people online than attend our services in person. I personally know people, both local and out of state, who tune in every week and are very appreciative of the opportunity to do so. I shared with the deacons Sunday evening that COVID has changed some things forever for the church. For our church. Our advance-ments in technology have enabled us to adjust in a way that significantly expands our reach for Christ literally to the ends of the earth.
In response to the CDC’s latest guidance, Governor Cooper has removed North Carolina’s indoor mask mandate for most settings and lifted all mass gathering limits and social distancing requirements for all fully vaccinated individuals as of last Friday. People not vaccinated are encouraged to wear masks and main-tain distance indoors. We are opening up more seating in our worship spaces and encourage everyone to join us in person as soon as you feel comfortable. See you Sunday as we celebrate our high school graduates from the Class of 2021! ~ John
