[10 Marks] Q1)An inclined rectangular sluice gate AB, 1.2 m by 5 m size as shown in fig. is installed to control the discharge the water , the end A is hinged . Determine the force normal to the gate applied at B to open it? Q-1 [5]

Q2) The converging pipe with inlet and outlet diameters of 20cm and 15 cm carries the oil whose specific gravity is 0.8.The velocity at the entry is 2.5m/s; find the velocity at the exit of the pipe and oil flow rate in kg/sec Q-7 [2.5+2.5]
