SEPTEMBER 2017 NEWSLETTER
Edition 4
We have a lot of stories in Bel-Aire Pines of
neighbors-helping-neighbors during Hurricane
Irma. Thanks to each and every one of you
for caring and reaching out to help. You are
the people who make this “a great
neighborhood to come home to.”
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN BEL-AIRE PINES
A SHOUT OUT TO ALL OUR NEIGHBORS WHO ARE TAKING CARE
OF THEIR HOMES.
WE APPRECIATE AND THANK GEORGE M OUR NEIGHBOR! HE
REGULARLY MAINTAINS THE FORSYTH ROAD TRASH CAN.
IF YOU HAVE A NEW NEIGHBOR THAT MOVED IN, PLEASE LET A
BOARD MEMBER KNOW SO THAT WE CAN WELCOME THEM.
A FEW YEARS AGO WE PLACED SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
THROUGHOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD TO REMIND BAP
RESIDENTS TO KEEP DRIVING SPEEDS TO A MODEST 20
MPH. THE BPNA BOARD WOULD LIKE TO LOCATE AND
RETRIEVE THOSE BAP SPEED LIMIT SIGNS. CALL US
321-209-5868 OR SEND US AN EMAIL AT
[email protected]. SO WE CAN RECOVER THEM THANKS.
SPEAKING OF TRAFFIC SPEED, WE HAVE MORE YOUNG CHILDREN
IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD THAN WE’VE HAD IN A WHILE AND, THAT’S
GOOD! WE CAN FIND OUR YOUNGSTERS PLAYING BALL, RIDING
BIKES AND JUST HAVING FUN. BAP RESIDENTS HAVE EXPRESSED
CONCERNS OF SPEEDING DRIVERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. PLEASE
SLOW DOWN TO 25 MPH FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR
CHILDREN.

HURRICANE IRMA WAS A CHALLENGING STORM. WE ARE SADDENED TO
REPORT THAT FALLEN TREES CAUSED SEVERE DAMAGE TO HOMES FOR
SOME BAP RESIDENTS AND LENGTHY POWER OUTAGES FOR OTHERS.
AFTER THE STORM PASSED IT WAS GREAT TO WITNESS AND HEAR OF
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS WITH DEBRIS CLEAN-UP, THOSE W/POWER OFFERING THEIR
FRIDGE/FREEZER SPACE, WHILE OTHERS WERE INVITED IN TO COOL OFF FROM THE HEAT. WE’RE
QUITE CERTAIN THERE ARE MORE BAP STORIES. THESE ARE JUST A FEW EXAMPLES OF
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS AND A TESTIMONY OF OUR WONDERFUL COMMUNITY!!
RESIDENT’S WITH DAMAGED
FENCE LINE ON FORSYTH ROAD
The estimator from J & J fence will be walking the fence line along Forsyth Rd. and preparing an estimate for you on the cost to replace your vinyl fencing that is down.
If you have columns that have been damaged, you will need to find a separate handyman to do that job.
We'll get the $$ quote to you as soon as possible.
There is no obligation, no commitment on your part to work with J & J. Since they won a competitive bid to install this fence originally, we expect that they will be just as competitive and thorough and reliable.

MAKING OUR LITTLE PART OF
THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
So far this year approximately 20% of Bel-Aire Pines renter’s and homeowner’s have donated $40.00 or more. WHY GIVE? It’s our responsibility to maintain our entrance, not the county’s. Fresh flowers, mulch, watering, decorative stones, mowing, trimming, weeding, fresh paint and or repairs on walls, etc. makes a great first impression of our community. Our two beautiful BAP entrance signs was done through a grant your volunteer board applied for. All this to create a beautiful neighborhood to come home to! It’s very important and essential that resident’s send in their contributions to maintain our BAP entrance.

SIMPLE & EASY
BEAUTIFICATION TIPS
Why should you
care about trash?
When trash starts to pile up in
someone’s yard or driveway, whether
it’s in an overflowing bin or scattered
around the bins, well it looks trashy
(pun intended).
Remember leaving trash cans in driveways or
where people can see them damages curb appeal.
Please bring trash cans back to your home within 24
hours after pick-up and store them out of view.
AND THOSE newspapers on driveway, don’t
allow them to disintegrate
TRASH THEM!
As for vehicles parked on a
resident’s front lawn, well it
diminishes the beauty of our
BAP Neighborhood, it’s that
simple.
HERE AT BEL-AIRE PINES
WE THINK DOGS ARE
PAWESOME!
Did you know Orange County Florida has
a leash law? The law states
that all dogs, big or small
MUST be leashed at all
times on public property.
Especially if not fenced in
and even under the
owner’s supervision on
their property out front.
We’ve had several reports during the past
few months concerning unleashed dogs, specifically
2 Chihuahuas seen on Knotty Pine Avenue, chasing
a young neighborhood girl into her home, and
dashing after walkers and joggers. Please keep your
furry companions confined and leashed for their
safety and BAP resident’s
One other dog complaint from several
neighbors that they hear excessive barking all day
long in the area of Heartwood between Green
Needle and Knotty Pine. You can
report nuisance dog whining,
howling and barking to Animal
Services at (407) 836-3111 or dial
3-1-1 to report any type of
domestic animal-related issue
in Orange County.
