YOUR PARTNER IN PARADISEOur local Community Foundation of the Florida Keys works every day to serve the needs of donors and nonprofits throughout the Keys.

Our donors, friends, supporters, local nonprofit leaders and our team form a special social charitable network. Together, we can focus people and resources on making the Keys better today and for the future.

2016, our 20th anniversary year, was a defining year in the Community Foundation’s history. We took note of how far we have come from our founders’ initial insights. Their individual foresight has allowed us to continue their goals in perpetuity. Their vision for the Keys inspires us. We are honored by the trust to carry on their legacies.

Throughout our first 20 years, we have served many individual donors, families and nonprofit organizations. We have channeled more than $21 million into the Keys nonprofit community. Our experience and connection with the community allows CFFK to continue to fulfill our mission to make Key West and the Florida Keys the best place to live.

This anniversary year was also a good time to take a hard look at what our community, donors and nonprofits—our partners—need us to do better in the coming years. We are mindful of our community’s issues in health and human services, environment, education and the arts. This thinking has resulted in an achievable set of initiatives for our next few years:n Encourage and facilitate partnerships. Connect the

nonprofit, business and donor community with the issues we face as a community

n Enrich the lives of everyone in the entire Florida Keys—expand our cultural and geographic diversity

n Educate and celebrate our nonprofit leaders—our Partners in Paradise

n Embark on a continuous improvement program so that we are both internally effective and good stewards of charitable assets

n Expand our grants to innovative nonprofit projects

Our success in these efforts depends on the continued and enhanced support of our community. There is much to be done.

We invite you to join us.
