Our Egypt VBS Starts This Week!! Here are a few things to keep in mind:

• WE NEED SMALL BOTTLES OF WATER & CAPRI SUNS - To serve the hundreds of children coming to Vacation Bible School this week, we still need small bottles of water and Capri Suns. Please bring cases/packs of either of these two items and drop them off at the designated areas located all around the building.

• NEW REGISTRATION FOR OUR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - If you didn’t get a chance to pre-register you still can (4 yrs old by 9/1/16 - 5th Grade). Please register in the Foyer tomorrow morning prior to the 9:00 am VBS Celebration in the Worship Center.

• SNACKS - If you are making snacks for volunteers,  please bring those in disposable containers Today. You may also bring them during the week of VBS.

• VBS GRAND FINALE PROGRAM WEDNESDAY (JUNE 15) IN THE WORSHIP CENTER -  There will be a special closing program for VBS in the Worship Center on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm in lieu of our regular Bible classes. Following the brief program, we will have refreshments (snow cones & ice cream), inflatables, petting zoo, and a rock climbing wall outside on the grounds behind our building.  Everyone is invited to join us!

Please keep our “Egypt” (Joseph’s Journey From Prison to Palace) Vacation Bible School and all the precious children who will be us in your prayers.

VILLAGE OF HOPE

SPECIAL CHILDREN’S SERVICE PROJECT FOR THIS YEAR’S VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Is to collect new or gently used soccer shirts/jerseys, shorts, shoes, and socks for children (all sizes). They will be donated to The Village of Hope (thevillageofhope.com) and used by the children on the new Andrew Rieder Soccer Field that they are finishing this summer in honor of Andrew Rieder, son of Bob & Cindy Rieder and former Children’s Ministry intern. Our children can begin bringing these items Today and continue through the closing program on June 15. There will be a special designated drop off for these items in the Foyer.

TUESDAY LADIES BIBLE CLASSWe will meet June 21 and July 19 at 10:00 am in the Garden Room for summer classes. Mark your calendars and join us this summer for a Bible lesson and encouragement. Regular classes will start again in September.

WEDNESDAY MORNING MEN’S CLASSThe Men’s Bible study will not meet through the summer.

M&M MINISTRYThe M&M Ministry will resume it’s monthly meals in September.

PARENTS WITH CHILDREN - Please find information regarding Bible Classes for babies-5th Grade at our Children’s Information Desks. There are several attended nurseries during worship for ages 0-24 months, along with diaper changing and nursing mothers’ areas. All guest children need to be registered at our Children’s Information Desk before class.

TODAY - DAY CAMP IS FULL! - Registration for our June 27-30 K-5th Grade Day Camp has reached its capacity and is now closed!

OTHER SUMMER CAMPS ARE FILLING UP TOO! - Registration for our July K-2nd Grade & 3rd-5th Grade Basketball Camps is still available. Registration forms are available at our camp display just outside the Elementary Hallway. There are registration forms for Preschool Parents Time-Out still available. (Forms are at our Downstairs Children’s Info Desk).

TONIGHT...VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL KICK OFF! - A VBS Kick-Off (Sneak peek of our VBS!) will be tonight at 5:00 pm. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE ABOUT TONIGHT’S VBS KICK OFF• Tonight’s program is for preschool (any child 3 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and elementary (K-5th Grade – Grade Just Completed)• All children must be escorted and signed in/out by his/her parent or guardian.• Preschool children will assemble in the Family Theatre Room and Elementary in the Gym.• The program will run from 5:00-6:00 pm.• Parents of Elementary children are welcome to stay for the program in the Gym. Please stay seated on the risers in the Gym and participate in the program taking place along with the children.• A snack will be served. It will be a sugar cookie with icing. A gluten free alternative should be available.• Children are encouraged to wear colors tonight! Since our VBS focused on Joseph we are asking children to dress up in colors (caps, shirts, pants, crazy outfits, etc.) as follows… Preschool - Purple; Kindergarten - Yellow; 1st - Blue; 2nd - Green; 3rd - Orange; 4th - Red; 5th - Mulitcolor

THIS WEDNESDAY - VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL GRAND FINALE! - There is a special closing VBS program in the Worship Center at 6:30 pm this Wednesday, June 15 for the entire family (No regular Wednesday Night Children’s Bible Classes). There will be snow cones, ice cream, inflatables, climbing tower, petting zoo, and other fun family activities following the assembly!

BIBLE MEMORY CHALLENGE AWARDS CEREMONY & RECEPTION RECAP - The BMC Awards Ceremony & Reception was held last Sunday afternoon and over 70 children were honored! Aleah Sanderson & Ansley Scales completed the entire 7 years of Bible Memory Challenge material and were honored as Grand Champions. A big thanks goes out to Jack & Nora Stephens, Barry & Hope Ann Lamoureux, and Russ Stone for leading this wonderful ministry for our Preschool 4’s - 6th Grade age children!

THURSDAY, JUNE 24 – NEIGHBORHOOD BIBLE SCHOOL IN MADISON! Our interns, Matt, and Randy are taking our “Egypt” Vacation Bible School and hosting a FREE 1 Day VBS for preschool age children and their siblings at Liberty Square Clubhouse (127 Paul Revere Drive, 35758) beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 24. We will have games, puppets, songs, Bible Story, and snacks. Families of preschoolers (guests are welcome!) are encouraged to join us!

COFFEE WELCOME STATIONThe Six40 Adult Bible class would like to invite you to stop by a Welcome Station at one of the desks in the Lobby 30 minutes prior to our 9:00 am worship on Sundays. JH/SH IMPACT - JH Impact will be leaving for Lipscomb University this Friday, June 17. Please be at Mayfair at 8:00 am! Details of what to bring, etc. will be sent to you by email. SH Impact will leave on Monday, June 20.

CHURCH CAMP - You don’t want to miss the convoy as we venture westward cowboys/gals! This is THE official best week of your summer. July 17-22, at TAG youth camp in Lynchburg, TN. Look in your email and outside the Student Center for applications. If your teen hesitates to go on trips with us because he/she doesn’t know many people, this is the trip for them. If your teen knows everybody, and has been around since two days after they were born, this is the trip for them. This is a special week!!
