Life wasnt always so great for me though. My brothers and sisters were given away and I was taken to a cat rescue centre, but they were full. I then found myself in a cat-carrier box, later entering a building where all sorts of strange sounds and smells hit my senses.

As far as ancient buildings go they don't get much older than Tintern Abbey in Gwent which has a broad mixture of building parts that dates to between 1136 and 1536.The UK's Most Travelled Catwww.bellathetravellingcat.com

Well here we are at the weekend again and once more were off on our travels. Mum and dad have decided to have a day trip out today, which is unusual as we usually go for several nights or a weekend away. Very exciting.Bella . . . At Great Tew, Oxfordshire www.bellathetravellingcat.com

After the church we head off to the village itself and I recall mum saying that its the most breathtaking and idyllic village that she has ever seen. Being a bit of an explorer myself, as you can imagine, I was really looking forward to seeing it.Bella . . . At Great Tew, Oxfordshire www.bellathetravellingcat.com

We see the 'Devil's Arse', Fairy Land, The Witches Cave, the rare Blue John mineral stone, and witness the eerie beauty of a huge lake 200 metres below ground. As if that's not enough, we also see some pretty bizarre carvings at a delightful pub, and I get to sit in a chair that was made for a giant. The camping was good and the scenery great.www.bellathetravellingcat.comBella . . . At CASTLETON CAVERNS:PEAK DISTRICT

The legend ofLittle John, who was one of Robin Hoods men, still lives on in the pub and I actually sat in his chair. In fact Little John was a real giant whose body now lies in a graveyard nearby. The chair at The Scotsmans Pack Inn was specially constructed for him and was won in a wager by Major John J.Lewis on the Manchester Regiment in 1950.Travelling Cat Bellawww.bellathetravellingcat.com
