What is Belly Dance?Belly dancing gives the

female body legitimization to be

"round", in contrast to modern Western cultural

preferences for flat stomachs. The Belly

Dance is identified by swaying hips,

undulating torso, and articulated isolations

employed in a range of dynamic and emotional

expressions.

Different Styles of Oriental Dance

American It is a mixture of different  styles such as Egyptian  or Turkish, along with other dances such as jazz, modern dance and even dances of India.

Egyptian or Raks Sharki

It is the original style. Include elements of ballet and some Latin America steps. 1926

Fantasy Involves a dramatization that includes a bizarre costumes and makeup, unconventional use of props like coffins, fire, etc., Music rarely comes from the Middle East.

Pharaoh It comes to playing the dances and costumes that appear in Egyptian hieroglyphics.This dance is characterized by the use of the wings and angular movements.
