How victorious do you feel in your Christian

journey?

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.E

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.

In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:10-17

The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living. Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see... Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Paul’s analogy of the armor is simply a metaphor or a simple battle strategy for living a life covered in Jesus.

“clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ”

Who My Daddy Is

Who I am Declaration

Page 13: Belt of Truth

I am a beloved son of the Almighty, the One True God. Once I was blind, born in sin’s captivity - however now I am redeemed. I was bought with a tremendous price. All that is true about me (who I really am) is a gift from God and a reflection of my Father’s nature because I am His son. I am gentle and I am strong. I am a messenger of grace and I am full of authority.

Page 14: Belt of Truth

Like my Father, I am a creative, a dreamer, and I celebrate all that is True and good. I am a leader, a servant, a teacher. I teach from experience about the Truth of the Universe because I know him personally and I live in healthy awe of the God I serve; whose great shared (triune) love I am birthed out of. The overflow of His love pours from my spirit in praise, in words of affirmation, exhortation and encouragement, in works of justice, in fathering the fatherless and caring for the widow.

Page 15: Belt of Truth

I am a human being, a person, crafted in the image of the first person - by His hands. I am discovering by His grace the ever-unfolding truth of the beautiful, strong, creative…loved…man of God that I am. I am affirmed by the very creator of the Universe as

Good. Beloved. Chosen.

On your sticky Post-It paper, list key lies that you want to walk away from, reject, and cast-off.

Stick it to the back wall.

And then come to the cross.

Leaving the lies behind you, and waiting on God to share the Truth He speaks over you as your Father.
