Benefits of Using the Web version of Charms (vs. the App only)

• Calendar: • You can see past, current & future events (the app only shows future events)

• Volunteering:• You can view “My Sign-Ups” all in one place under Volunteers > My Sign-Ups (There is no simple way to do this with the

app. You can view signups through the Calendar, but you can only see one event at a time.)

• You can enter Volunteer Hours if you want to keep track of this. (Not available through the app)

• You can see all signups, even if they are full (the app only shows events with open slots)

• Handouts• When our Director’s chooses to use this feature for a form, you can view whether or not a signed form your student

has submitted has been received. (the app only shows you documents, not “Forms Collected”)

• Uniforms• You can view which pieces have been checked out to your child; and when the time comes, returned.

• Password• If you choose to change your password through the desktop version, you can set a Password Hint that will help you

remember it later.

The app is very convenient and probably meets most of your needs. But see below for some features that are only available when logging into the Charms website.

Volunteer: App versus Web Interface

are filled, the event disappears from the app view• Can sign up to help with events

*To view who is signed up for event in the app, you can drill down in calendar view

Please note: The balances shown here are at a certain point in time, and do not reflect any withdrawals you’ve made. In other words, this replaces having a list posted in the band room. Scrip balances will be updated monthly. There is no set schedule for updating Student Credit balances, so an email will be sent to affected students when they are updated.
