Welcome to the 29th Bent & Bongs Beer

Bash! The festival is organised by the Bent &

Bongs Charitable Trust, in association with the

Campaign for Real Ale CAMRA. As usual we

have a fine selection of real ales from all over

the country for you to try along with foreign

beers from around the world and some specially

selected ciders and perries plus the popular

craft gin and fizz bar.

We are pleased to be back at the Roller Rink.

It is great that people love the new venue as

much as the sadly missed Formby Hall.

This is a charity festival and we have raised over

£446,000 to date which mostly goes to local

good causes. Your glass is yours to keep. To

buy beer you need tokens which are on sale at

the “skate hire” counter. Refunds are available

on unused tokens but we would encourage you

to donate them to our good causes!

I think all the vast majority of beers will contain

gluten but if you need detailed allergen advice

ask behind the bar or at the festival fodder

counter.

I hope you all have a great time at the festival

but please remember to drink responsibly! All

our beers and ciders give the ABV (alcohol

by volume) so be wary of those over 5% (The

industry standard fizzy yellow beer is only 4%

ABV). Some of our beer and many ciders are

very strong; they should be enjoyed in small

servings.

Finally, please enjoy the festival but do

remember all staff working at this event are

unpaid volunteers so please be patient if we

are busy. If you have any comments or queries

about the event, then please contact one of the

organisers. Many staff are CAMRA members

who will love to chat with you about beer!

Hello everyone. A warm welcome to you and

thanks for your continued support of what has

become an Atherton institution. If anyone has

been to all 29 our heartiest congratulations!

Over £446,000 raised and still counting. Last

year saw us contributing to many Local charities

including Dorset Rd Community Centre, The

Samaritans, Life Now, Atherton Xmas tree and

nativity, Atherton Carnival, Merlin, Child Flight,

Gin Pit Residents Assoc., Hag Fold Morris

Dancers, Embrace, and New Garrett Theatre.

If you think we can help your, preferably local,

organisation please contact us on [email protected] or seek out one of the

trustees. We will be here somewhere.

We are looking forward to another great event.

Its continued success is down to yourselves, our

and of course our painstakingly selected,

decide? This authentic German oompah band

will be bringing a distinctly Oktoberfest feel,

with perhaps the occasional little twist.

FRIDAY NIGHT THE THREEA little bit of everything from the sixties to the

now. The Three are sure to have the festival

rocking.

SATURDAY (1PM TO 4PM ISH) CRACKED FLAGWould Saturday afternoon be complete without

Cracked Flag? Nope! We thought not either.

The jokes are terrible but the music is brilliant

SATURDAY (4PM TO 8PM ISH) BAMBAM AND THE BOBCATSA five piece party band performing all your

favourite dancefloor hits. Another BBB at the

BBBB. Co-incidence? You couldn’t make this

stuff up could you?
