Our beautiful guest house is conveniently located on the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

campus and features 57 tastefully appointed guest rooms. Whether you are a research participant or a

visiting scholar you will find ‘a home away from home’ at our guest house. Many of the rooms offer

spectacular views of the San Francisco bay, skyline, and City of Berkeley. The guest house is only a few

minutes away from the University of California Berkeley Campus and the dynamic Berkeley community

itself.

proximity to the LBL shuttle stops and our des-

We Offer…

To make your stay convenient and comfortable, we offer twenty-four

hour guest service at the front desk, where transportation information,

maps, and concierge service are available. In addition to our proximity

to the LBL Café, room service is available from local restaurants such as

California Pizza Kitchen, Asqew Grill, Le Cheval, and Pasta Pomodoro.

We also have a large selection of grab-n-go food and beverage items

available for sale in the lobby.

Down the hall on the first floor, there is a laundry room with coin oper-

ated washer and dryer, a detergent vending machine, and irons and

ironing boards. Upstairs, Bay View Room offers an amazing view of the

bay and the San Francisco skyline, as well as seating for dinner or an im-

promptu meeting with coworkers or fellow guests. Complimentary

Peet’s coffee and tea service is offered twenty-four hours per day in the

Bay View Room as well.

Ten dollars per night will be charged for each additional person occupying the room.

Reservations at the Guest House

Check-in: Guests may check in on

or after 3:00PM. The registration

desk is open 24 hours a day for

late arrivals.

Check-out: Guests must check out

at 12:00PM. Vehicles and luggage

may be left at the facility beyond

check-out time based on storage

space and parking availability.

Cancellation Policy: Please cancel

reservations 24 hours prior to your

scheduled arrival date to avoid a

one-night room charge.

Pets: Pets are not permitted at the

Berkeley Lab Guest House. Assis-

tance animals are always welcome.

Please let the staff know if you

plan to arrive with an assistance

animal.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted

in the Guest House or in any build-

ing located on the Lawrence

Berkeley National Laboratory Cam-

pus.

No children under 18 years of age

are permitted to stay at the Guest

House.

To stay at the Berkeley Lab Guest House, guests must be affiliated

with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, or the University of

California, Berkeley. A Lab or UC sponsor is necessary to complete

a reservation. Please call the Guest House, (510) 495-8000, for

availability, rates, and reservations. Be sure to inquire about

discounts that may apply to you.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and

Company Checks. Direct Billing is available for LBNL departments

or other organizations utilizing the Guest House on a regular ba-

sis. If you are interested in Direct Billing, please email tomfar-

rell@berkeley.edu for an application and additional information.

If LBL pays lodging expense, our Lab Affiliate Rates

(Standard/Large room types only) are reimbursable

without pre-approval.
